GGG Vs Jacobs outcome poll

I thought Jacobs won the fight by a clear 2 rounds. I was surprised how relaxed GGG and his corner were. They were even telling GGG to stop taking chances and just box out a decision. After the 11th going into the 12th the corner were having ago at GGG asking him "why are you taking chances?".
The fight seemed like a predetermined points win for GGG and that clearly effected his performance. GGG had no killer instinct. Didn't take any chances and was simply happy to do the 12 rounds. In the last couple of rounds he was boxing like a guy who was 6 rounds up.
HBO wanted the PPV figures with GGG vs Canelo. Not only did that effect the scorecards at the end of the fight. It effected GGG's performance.

GGG 115-112
The jab made the difference for me, and I didnt automatically give DJ credit because he threw a flashy flurry. Very close though,....

It was an even fight. GGG edged it because of the knockdown.

Even though I thought Jacobs won by 2 rounds. I wouldn't call it a robbery. It looked like the GGG corner knew they had the judges and that GGG simply just needed to go 12 rounds. I think that really affected GGG's performance. It took away his determination and passion.

Think you're seeing conspiracies where there are none.
How can you say the result was stitched up and you thought the other guy won but you never thought it was a robbery. You're not making any sense

Some of the rounds were close. But I thought Jacobs won by 2 rounds. One judge gave it to GGG by a single point. GGG's corner were telling him not to take any chances even going into the 12th. HBO had the person who won the 12th winning the fight and so did quite a few people. Yet GGG's corner didn't even want him to box in the 12th. They warned GGG quite a few times in the corner. They wanted to go 12. Which isn't GGG's style. So it wasn't a great fight from GGG's standard.
It was clear from quite early in the fight it was the plan for GGG to go 12. That was the orders from his corner. GGG gave away rounds he usually wouldn't have.

It's called a game-plan and perhaps his corner were reading the fight slightly different than you or I.
Maybe the corner are better at scoring a fight than you or I, as the qualified judges are and the scored it differently and that's how his corner saw it and felt he didn't need to take risks and stick to the game-plan against a dangerous puncher

I lumped on in play GGG points win during the 6th round.

. So I made a pretty penny from what I saw and heard. A lot of people saying age has caught up with GGG but I don't think so. They had the judges so it was a job of making sure he was going to hear the final bell. They wont have the judges against Canelo. GGG will knock him out around the mid rounds.

115-112 to GGG one of the easier fights to score.. Barry Jones and John Rawlings commentary was shocking.. All accurate shots came from GGG.. Jacobs really impressed but he lost a close fight

Mate, do you have your round scoring please?
I thought so many were equalish. I had Jacobs edging it but can't see a robbery.
And I told my non hardcore boxing mates to bet on Jacobs at 12/1 points.

Someone just said to me on facebook that the commentary would have swayed me towards Jacobs
Presumably he'd been watching B0x Nat10n.
I was watching streams on facebook that kept getting taken down.
Think I watched every round on a different stream
I went between a pro-Jacobs BN coverage, a pro-GGG HBO coverage and a spanish language feed that I think was from a Mexican families livingroom
I called it as I saw it and had Jabobs narrowly ahead but couldn't complain at a card a couple points either way.
It was that sort of fight

Agree . I couldn't believe they were saying Jacobs clearly and without question won the first 3 rounds . As if he'd bossed GGG. Throughout the whole fight they were incredibly bias towards Jacobs.

Jacobs did next to nothing in the first, and thankfully all three judges gave it to GGG. Two and three were close, and certainly no one was dominating those.

Don't be daft. It was close but no robbery.

Barry had him cruising the first! Easily
Are the cards available. Couldn't understand them (commentators) giving Jacobs the first, and emphatically

I thought jacobs won, everytime it came close jacobs would land more shots were GGG would look for one shot, even with the knockdown jacobs still done enough to win. He suprised me to be honest cause i didnt think he would take GGG's shots and made him over stretch,he was good at switchin and the southpaw stance made him hard to catch clean. For me jacobs by a couple

Mike Coppinger tweeted a pic of the cards, they are pretty reasonable.

Golovkin outlanded him on power shots, out jabbed him and put him on the floor, can't see a way that Jacobs won. It was close and competitive but the decision was right for me.

See that get thrown about all the time for close fights.
Imagine if Whitaker v Chavez took place in the modern era. There would be absolute carnage on the Internet amongst boxing fans.

I'm in the minority that felt GGG clearly won that fight and I watched in on YouTube in decent quality with Russian commentary. Maybe that is a factor but I'll give it a few weeks and rewatch. I just don't think Jacobs did anything significant in the first half of the fight,
