Listening to the divided opinions in the wake of the fight I can't help but feel there are parallels - GGG possibly showing his age and looking more one-paced than normal, struggling with a lot of movement but still scoring with a steady but less-than-flashy jab; Jacobs with a lot of fast, but frequently ineffective flurries etc, but able to stay with GGG in a way that nobody anticipated. The result being your verdict on the victor in no small part seems to depend on what you value in a fighter. Thoughts?

He's right though. Canelo doesn't have anywhere near the ability of SRL.

It was early when I first clicked on the thread and didn't read the full post.

What I have seen this morning and throughout the week is people saying this was (or could be) Golovkins "Mugabe "moment.

It was after Hagler didn't look as impressive against Mugabe that Leonard decided to come out of retirement and fight him. And now people think because GGG didn't look as good last night that Conelo may decide to grow a set and fight GGG.

For the fight last night I do see some similarities with Leonard and Hagler. I am probably going to get flack for this on the forum but I can not see how Jacobs won that.

My best mate loves Hagler and he is convinced he beat Leonard but for me he didn't do enough in the early rounds of the fight. I feel the same way about Jacobs last night.
