Jacobs' natural weight division ?

I suppose he weighed more than 175 lbs yesterday, during the fight.
So, I feel, he could move up at SMW, and has better chances to get a belt (or even belts)....
There is no GGG or Canelo at 168....
Ward moved up, Jack too....
Honestly, I can see Jacobs as a champion at 168.
What do you think ?

He'd make more money in a rematch with GGG

I think GGG prefers to face BJS in oreder to become undisputed MW champion.

Only 2 fights would take precedence over Jacobs rematch -- BJS and Canelo, so chances of the rematch happening in the next 10 months are good.

Are you sure GGG will beat BJS and Canelo ?

That's in June, Jacobs can get a rematch in the fall when canelo ducks the fight again.

Then Jacobs gets a rematch. Not exactly a counter point.

Frankly, I would like to see Jacobs at 168. I suppose (at 160) Canelo would defeat him, GGG too, Lemi maybe....He could achieve more at SMW, surely....

No doubt about BJS. He would need to stop Canelo to get a win, so I am giving him 90% chance. He wouldn't fight Canelo like he did Jacobs. He had to be cautious yesterday in order to get BJS and Canelo fights, but when he fights Canelo, he will trade and commit into his punches more than yesterday.

Do people really believe that he would have risked throwing that away yesterday against a dangerous opponent just to make himself look beatable and secure a payday?

I don't think so. Simply, Jacobs was a serious and dangerous opponent, and GGG had to adapted his style. I have to repeat : Jacobs needs to improve his jab, and try to be more aggressive. GGG's jab won the fight (chin, too)...

Don't see why he needs to move up. He's big, strong and fast at 160. If you thought he won last night then he arguably beats everyone at 160. No need to move division because you lost a very close decision to a P4P level fighter.

No, what I meant is that he needed a reliable win versus involving in a brawl and risking to get stopped.

Sorry bud, picked you up wrong,
I've seen a lot of suggestions that he made it look competitive to lure BJS and Canelo into thinking "hey this guy's fading, maybe the timing is right..."

yea, also jacobs footwork was great and he measures distance very well, excellent ring generalship. it was obvious that ggg's boxing style wasn't gonna work on jacobs the way it did lemiux who was a sitting duck, shorter and doesn't have the range of jacobs.
ggg rightfully respected jacobs power. i don't think he was scared, but rather he figured his heavy jab was the best way for him to quickly bypass jacobs reach in order to score points but also keep jacobs from getting too comfortable. he basically fought the best way he could against a guy who can be explosive at any time. great boxing iq by ggg.
No one got seriously hurt and yet it was still a great fight, couldn’t ask for more.
and yea, as long as jacobs can make the weight he should stay.

Saunders, Canelo then Jacobs rematch in Dec. would be a pretty good year

Definitely could move up after that or even retire.

After the other night he [Jacobs] is the Man at Middleweight right now but I know what you mean Jacobs will be locked out of the Middleweight World Title picture for atleast a year neither Canelo/GGG people will let Jacobs within 20 mile's of their golden geese he might be better of going up and becoming the Champ at Sr Middle and wait for GGG to move up he could try and corner Eubank/De Gale and the big Mexican WBO Champ some good fight's there for the Miracle Man
