Was going through the schedule the other day and noticed it was only Katie Taylor that's on! Eddie must think because it's a good main event he can blank the undercard. Guys a pudendum.

He best put some good match ups on! Quigg for a world title would be nice (unlikely I know), A couple of domestic dramas would be nice, just get it done Eddie.

I know it's a big event but in front of 90k you need a tasty undercard, he must have the budget for it.

Thing is it's just over a month away so it's highly unlikely we're gonna get anything other than a steaming pile of dung for an undercard.

And Eddie will bring out his old quote that the money is in the main event, which I understand, but he's gotta work with the money he has left to come up with good quality fights.

I'd get Ohara back out in a proper fight again, one of his fellow Brits or a European title would do. Ortiz in a meaningful fight, Dave Allen in a meaningful fight...just meaningful fights in general.

Eddie always comes off as smug about how well his PPV shows sell, so why isn't this money being re-invested to give us quality cards from top to bottom? In my opinion, a PPV show should have a huge main event, for which AJ/Wlad fits the bill, and then at least two more fights that could headline a Saturday Fight Night on regular Sky Sports, with at least one being for a world title. A big main event plus Quigg and Campbell in world title eliminators just isn't good enough. He knows he can get away with it because Joshua is a money making machine, but it's just pure greed.

Kugan is much bigger than Quigg or Campbell but the two of them should be able to handle him.

Yeah I'd say he's had step up fights in terms of his opponents, Scarpa had credible win over Hibbert & though Derry was extremely faded and above his natural weight, it was a step up. It's time for him to fight his fellow Brits whom I consider his rivals, he has plenty, I'm sick of him & others making a mockery of that British title, anyone who is anyone should be after that title.

Klitschko costs a hell of a lot tbf. You only have to look at the ticket prices Manchester Arena were charging for the Fury rematch.

Everyone would love stacked under cards but from a business POV it makes no sense sadly. The tickets have been sold and no matter what went on the card 99.99% of everyone watching is watching for the main event. Wasn't there only about four fights on the Froch Groves II card?

Quigg against a nobody I imagine.

7 fights in total including Froxh v Groves. Gamal Yafai, Joshua and Martin Ward in gimmies. Jamie McDonnell vacant title fight, Degale v Gonzales and Mitchell v Maduma.

It was by no means a great undercard but it wasn't awful either.

I think the whole show has to be done and dusted by 10 so we won't be getting a 15 fight card a la allegedly.

I know the undercard won't drive incremental ticket sales or probably PPV buys but I just wish it'd be announced a bit sooner. I'd expect to see McDonnell title fight, Quigg (Eddie loves a final eliminator), potentially Campbell v Mendy and then some prospects/Olympians.

Scarpa was brought over to lose to Hibbert and the Daviesv Scarpa fight was absolutely dire. First time I've watched Davies and was not impressed. As soon as he fights someone who will bring it to him and put him under pressure he will get smashed. As shown by him pulling out of a mandated fight with Tyrone Nurse and "bypassing domestic" level shows he will be matched carefully.


You are right he and many others at 140 should be fighting each other domestically. Been reading recently about Robbie Davies Jr Catterall and Ihara going after world titles soon. They have even fought for a British yet !!!!

They could just do this one fight and people won't be bothered. It's not going to be good because at least one fight would have been announced by now.

When Hearn leaves it late for an undercard fight it will usually be dire. IE when Crolla fought Barosso last year no undercard was announced until about 2 weeks before.

Think it has to because of the council and the number of people there.

Its not going to be stellar, for obvious reasons, it will sell anyway. Better to save money. It will be heavy on Olympians though. Katie Taylor, Campbell, some youngsters.
