Rigondeaux vs. Flores Purse Bid Ordered For April 3

"Rigondeaux vs. Flores Purse Bid Ordered For April 3"

The World Championships Committee of the World Boxing Association have called for a purse bid between Guillermo Rigondeaux (17-0, 11KO), who is the super champion at super bantamweight, and Mexico's Moisés Flores (25-0, 17KO), who is the interim champion at 122 pounds.

The purse bid has been scheduled for next week, on April 3, at the agency's offices located in Panama City, Panama.

The minimum bid will be 120 thousand dollars divided with 75% for the super champion and 25% for the interim.

Rigondeaux has been the 122-pound champion of the WBA since the year 2012 so far he has defended that belt on seven occasions. He was able to secure the status of super champion in 2013 after beating Filipino Nonito Donaire in a high stakes HBO televised contest.

what happened to the previous date?
I think it was part of the cancelled Cotto Vs Kirkland bill

Yup, it got cancelled. I dnuh why they need to order purse bids again.. They could've added to another card.

I don't think anyone bids on this fight. 150k on two guys who anyone won't pay to see. I'll be surprised if its made.

RocNation will bid $150k and win.. Rigo will get $112,500 (75%)

And that's why Roc nation is not a factor in boxing right now. That's a losing money proposition like pretty much all there fights except Ward-Kovalev.
