Any word on what he is going to do?
We all know what he should do.LasPalmas wrote:Any word on what he is going to do?
Lmao.... I always tell people if you want to start a boxing career go to Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana or West Virginia.Cutman Scabbers wrote:Move to Arkansas ASAP
That's a blast from the past if there ever was one.... I'd say that the comparisons are valid.... However, Bobick didn't lose until he fought Norton and the people who beat him were superior to most anything Price has fought and lost to.Tony1244 wrote:David Price is kind of like Duane Bobick. He can do well if the other guy doesn't fight back.

Personally-speaking, I’d like David Price to challenge the winner of the British title fight between Sam Sexton and Gary Cornish, since he’d be expected to beat both of those guys.
Price’s problems are mostly psychological, since the pressure of competing in fights seems too much for him, causing him to run out of gas prematurely. When he can address that issue, he may end up being a half-decent European level fighter that will be used as an ideal stepping-stone for future prospects.
I’d also like to see Tyson Fury have a couple of easy comeback bouts against opponents of David Prices’ ilk, since it’s going to take a little time for the former world heavyweight champ to get rid of his ring rust and also regain the sort of fitness levels he had attained for the Klitschko bout.
So I really do think that David Price can continue to earn a fairly decent living if he continues his career, but perhaps he should abandon any ambitions related to capturing the world heavyweight title, since this is clearly unrealistic.
By all accounts, David Price is supposed to be a really nice guy, so I’d be pleased to see him continue earning a decent wage from the sport, as long as he doesn’t keep getting hurt.
Given Sexton and Cornish are currently fighting for the British title, he might as well go for that.Horse wrote:Fight for the English title.world ranked wrote:We all know what he should do.
No, he should humble himself and aim lower.BitPlayer wrote:Given Sexton and Cornish are currently fighting for the British title, he might as well go for that.
Hasn't David Price already beat Sam Sexton with ease? So why go lower?Horse wrote:No, he should humble himself and aim lower.BitPlayer wrote:Given Sexton and Cornish are currently fighting for the British title, he might as well go for that.
What happens when he wins it and Chisora or Whyte come after him?Enlightened-One wrote:Hasn't David Price already beat Sam Sexton with ease? So why go lower?
The British belt is one of the nicest ones you could wear, the sparkly enemal would really bring out his eyesworld ranked wrote:Horse wrote:Fight for the English title.world ranked wrote:We all know what he should do.retire what does winning the English title set him up for. Chisora and Whyte are on a higher level that David Price. Dillian Whyte vacated the British title, because he has bigger fish to fry and Dereck Chisora has already held that title also.Horse wrote:What happens when he wins it and Chisora or Whyte come after him?Enlightened-One wrote:Hasn't David Price already beat Sam Sexton with ease? He needs to rebuild from the bottom and never have a major step up in competition again.
He's not ready for the British title. He needs to stop thinking that he's a big shot.
Drop way down in competition, stay active and build himself back up slowly.
Or possibly ever again.Enlightened-One wrote:he shouldn’t be looking to face European level fighters at this stage of the rebuilding process,
Price main problem is that he can't take a shot. That's always been the case. He was down quite often in the amateurs even though they wore headgear back then.Enlightened-One wrote:

Price would be better going back to basics. Restarting his entire career, rebuilding his style. That crap worked well in the amateurs, but not in the professionals. Too stiff legged, chin too high, robotic. He still fights the exact same way as he did when he first started. Fighters are supposed to improve, not remain the same.
I don't know what you are talking about. He may have put on 30lbs but he certainly was not fat. Did you watch the fight? He was not fat & the extra weight was planned by his team when they took over a year ago. First order of business was for him to put on 30lbs. He was not fat by any means but the extra weight did not help him absorb punches better. He was not anywhere remotely close to being obese. Unless I missed the sarcasm in your post...Syntax Error wrote:He's probably eating a takeaway!
Well, he must be doing something to get that Odlanier Solis physique that he's sporting now.
