This an easy defense for Eastman i assume? Even though it will be close to 8 months since Eastman last fought ..

Wonder if the BBC will show it live most likely be a couple of minutes highlights the next day

Eastman-Sendra try and get together for the third time when no-one really cares.

At least he's been found.

whats eastman thinking about here? this isnt much of a fight at all. the british scene just now is pretty crap all our supposed 'top' fighters are going nowehre with meaningless bouts... eastman, clazaghe, hatton, audley etc etc

I think Sendra, unbelievably, is the mandatory challenger.
Looking forward to seeing "The Garston Warrior" hammer Froch.

Well, he needs to get rid of some ring rust. But then you could've said that about a lot of Eastmans opponents. Waste of talent.

Easy as long as rigormortis hasnt set in yet.

I think this looks like it is shaping up to be a decent bill. I thought the last Hennessy bill with Witter and Froch on it was outstanding.

I really hope that Dodson can do a number on Froch. I haven't wanted to see a fighter get done like a kipper as much as him since the prime days ofs Hamed

Man that prat Naz cost me a lot of money but it was worth it just to see Barrera make him his beeatch !!

From a personal point of view I hate his style and the cocky arrogance he shows in the ring. I have never liked boxers who go OTT with the showmanship in the ring (with the exception of Eubank who could back it up) as it shows lack of respect to their opponents but it does make it all the more satisfying when they get their ass kicked which always happens eventually.

I don't dislike him, I just think he is being overhyped based on very little thus far. However, that's no personal knock on him, and his win over Adamu was a pretty good win at that stage of his career. I have my doubts over how far he can go, but again, that's no sleight on him, i just think that he may be overestimating his own skill level, because he fights as if he is the second coming of Roy Jones, but he hasn't the same movement or ring savvy.

Yep. He's good but not half as good as he thinks he is.

He is hardly the first fighter to be guilty of that though. Quite often fighters become better after they get dealt a setback early on, forces them to listen to their coaches more. Froch didn't seem to take diddly-shit notice of ...christ I've forgotten his bloody name, how annoying. Whatisface, that's it McCracken!

I love his accent, the Brummie drawl...lol i sound a but like him actually, well maybe more like Richie Woodhall 8)

Carl Froch may have his super human powers to rely on after he was bitten by a snake (come on you have all seen the clip ) but that isn't enough to make him keep his left hand up and throw a jab once in a while. He will really need to box and move and throw plenty of punches to keep Dodson off balance to win IMO

As for Eastman well...who cares about this fight with Sendra? Eastman is still looking for Hopkins but will never get him, Eastman is about on a level with Joppy and he (Hopkins) already beat Joppy...plus Eastman will never be a big draw in the states so Hopkins may as well fight Joppy again for all the good an Eastman clash would do him. I think a former Eastman foe Sam Soliman will leapfrog Howard anyway into a shot at the title, Eastman is stagnating while Soliman is keeping busy beating up the fellow contenders (Raymond Joval etc).

I know. The McCrackens had natural talent but no desire. Don Aagasen, who trained them, had to set his alarm, drive round to their house and run with them. It was the only way he knew they had done their roadwork.
I saw Don at the Midlands awards 'do' recently. Disappointingly, Robert McCracken didn't go up and speak to him.

Funny think is, Eastman had the crowd on his side when he lost to Joppy, they went big time for his big punches and showboating, and who knows what could have happened had he remained out there.

I seem to recall that King kept him on ice after that and didn't get him any more fights forcing him to leave and get back to the UK and sign with Hennessey.

Had he put his foot on the gas 2-3 rounds earlier and gone for the stoppage, things would have been completely different, King would have gotten him more fights, and he would probably have gotten a shot at Hopkins. Still cannot see him winning that one.
