Probably still enjoying their godlike status, getting laid daily, and sampling succulent varieties of dimlama, monti, sheshlick, and liquor.

They get paid good money to win gold medals. For some countries, it's like hitting the lottery. The president of the Uzbek boxing association is gangster who has paid bribes for golds so he probably pays the boxers good money for getting the golds.

Its harder for fighters from those countries to get deals. They need to travel and build their carrier in the foreigner soil. Egis Klimas is doing a great job for them. Probably more will be signing in time when their contracts with amateur organization ends.

Probably the most impressive in the very strong Uzbek squad in Rio. He will soon have his first fight on Oscar Valdez undercard.

cool. yeah its true when you from far far away its harder to get deals. but i think when you got top level talent, than no matter music, acting or boxing you'll get a chance. also when you have "gold medal" on your amateur resume, german, uk and us promoters will be quick to organize you a first class flight 5 star hotel etc...i would if i was promoter. like you said, fazl looked the most impressiv and he is going to be a high level pro

They are already pro's!

Like in former USSR they are listed as officers/policemen/office managers in goverment, receiving salary and benefits.

That's no huge money in light divisions, so they prefer to play safe :salut:

guys like mares or lomachenko are millioneres, so dont say light divisions make no cash. since the prince nassem hamed, morales, barrera days light weight classes can make huge amounts of money...one thing is for sure, more than what a officer in usbekestan makes.
