For the southern area title. Undercard to Gervonta Davis vs Liam Walsh.

Personally it's a head scratcher.

Well if ever there was a boxer vs a puncher bout, this is it.

Funny how Yarde fights for a title at a weight he's never fought at as a pro :D

I do hope he does a good job though. A highlight kayo of Chris will do his reputation good in the US, what with Gobby Bollocks being there with Davis.

What's so strange about it?

Yarde's weights are well below the CW limit, so not really a surprise that he'd go after a title at 175. I dont know much about Hobbs, but on paper he seems like he may well be Yarde's best opponent.

Don't read too much into things, Crusy. I was just pointing out he'd never made the weight. Obviously he can drop those one or two pounds for a championship bout.

Ginger said it was a head scratcher, but it seems like a normal enough fight to me given Yarde's previous opposition. He's gotten a lot of forum hype, so maybe some people think he should be fighting above this level?

I like Yarde. Was hoping to see him in a British title fight later this year.

Love Yarde so I do, he's an absolute machine, frightening power and looks a classy boxer, needs tested soon but I'm not afraid to say I reckon he goes all the way and not one of these Burns/Crolla beltholder types, I mean proper worldwide

I've seen Hobbs live.

Yarde will do him in a round.

I just think it's weird that he's fighting for the southern area belt so late, in comparison to Isaac Chamberlain for instance, I'd say Yarde was above that level but whatever it's a fight and was thinking putting him out there for the English would be better next.
But if he keeps active he'll be fighting the right opposition by the end of the year hopefully.
I'm on his hype train I suppose.

Chamberlain, all be it by a few months, turned over earlier than Yarde did & likewise, the difference in turning over will be in fighting for the Southern Area belt. Yarde will probably win it, vacate and move on to English & tee up a fight with Joel McIntyre.

Don't get me wrong I'm hyped he's finally fighting bodies, this fight over his inactivity any day! Just maybe expected him to be rushed! I look forward to him pushing onwards.
