He's fit and tough. That puts him above about 50% of heavies already! But I agree with you, you don't see the promise that Joshua had post Olympics

Joyce looks terrible. He's also starting too late to be able to be given the time to make the necessary improvements.

Both got great pro careers ahead of them.

Joyce will plough through to the British title IMO. Had a great Olympics and should've taken home the gold. Plus all the great experience fighting in the World Series in 5 rounders against the best at amateur level across the world.

I was told a while ago that Joe Joyce would be signing with FW, not heard on Buatsi. Anthony Fowler is still to announce who he's turning over with, I'm told his coach will be Rob McCracken, originally was set to be Shane McGuigan but Fast Eddie didn't want it to happen.

I heard Joyce was nailed on to go with Frank, but that was a while ago now.
Buatsi willl go to matchroom I'm sure

He should. He beat the piss out of all of his opponents in the Olympics. He's slow and he's really heavy handed and goes to the body well. He also throws loads of punches. It's funny how he deserved the gold and didn't get it, and AJ was gifted the medal, yet AJ was still considered more promising. I suppose Joyce is old: he's not going to get any faster is he? But he will be an enjoyable addition to the British HW scene.

Joyce also seems genuinely humble and boring, rather than pretending to be humble and boring like AJ. I remember there was an interview with him during the Olympics where it was just him talking to the camera, and they edited him by fading one part into another, because he must have prattled on with nothing interesting to say. Your nan would love him. I'm sure he can make a bit of money if built right.

Yeah I agree I'm looking forward to him getting in there, he might all of a sudden punch like a mule! As for choice, I'd be surprised if Hearn actively seeked Joyce out, my guess is only Warren wanted him.

I like Joyce. Can see him getting to Euro level sharpish based on his WSB exploits.

Feel sorry for Buatsi, our best fighter in Rio yet he went under the radar.
All the talk of turning pro and he's the one under the radar.

Would love the Uzbeks to start turning pro. They had 6-8 boys I thought looked top drawer in Rio.

Joyce is no great shakes but we have two turnips battling it out for the British in the not too distant future. Joyce would probably beat both of they guys without many problems.

Joyce will do pretty well. Big, strong and fit. Non-stop pressure. Not many will enjoy fighting him at that weight. High work rates are seldom seen at heavy!

Buatsi will be a star imo. I reckon he and Okolie will will be great to follow in the pro game.

Yeah It was refreshing to see a heavy fight at that pace, could do with developing more of a dig, but he's pretty old so there's a limit to what he can achieve.

What's with the gb contracts, can't they just mutually agree to terminate them?

I think Joyce will go to frank, pointless going with matchroom. Fowler is crying out for Eddie to offer him a contract but I don't think Eddie is too arsed, Fowler will either have to beg Eddie or go with Frank for better money. Buatsi was linked with Haye/Ringstar wasn't he?

Has Buatsi finished his degree yet? I know he was waiting on that before thinking about turning over

Nice to see that Eddie can be as petty and vindictive as Frank

There were pictures of Fowler after sparring Froch so that seems to add up.

Also agree about Joyce, although I can't see him at proper world level he could win the British title next week.
