hello, according to boxrec, Sosa´s WBA title is not on the line in this fight. Is it true ?
You can't do a unification with an interim/jr/etc..Belt.Cent0089 wrote:hello, according to boxrec, Sosa´s WBA title is not on the line in this fight. Is it true ?
Didn't GGG unify when he fought Marco Antonio Rubio for the interim WBC though?SaadOffTheDeck wrote:You can't do a unification with an interim/jr/etc..Belt.Cent0089 wrote:hello, according to boxrec, Sosa´s WBA title is not on the line in this fight. Is it true ?
The problem here is the WBO. Some sanctioning bodies allow you to do unifications with Interims or Regular Champs. WBO doesn't let you do unifications vs those type of "champs". Perfect example is when Kameda had to drop his belt to fight that british fighter for his WBA Regular.craigjenkins05 wrote:Didn't GGG unify when he fought Marco Antonio Rubio for the interim WBC though?SaadOffTheDeck wrote:You can't do a unification with an interim/jr/etc..Belt.Cent0089 wrote:hello, according to boxrec, Sosa´s WBA title is not on the line in this fight. Sure there are examples with the WBA Too as I remember Hearn telling Carl frampton he was wrong about the WBA not sanctioning his and quiggs fight as a unification because quigg had the regular title and Hearn stating they had done it before, didn't matter in the end as they elevated quigg to super champ though
