Sosa gave-up his WBA title a few weeks back, leaving Corrales as the sole WBA champion at the weight....

You can't do a unification with an interim/jr/etc..Belt.

Didn't GGG unify when he fought Marco Antonio Rubio for the interim WBC though?

Sure there are examples with the WBA Too as I remember Hearn telling Carl frampton he was wrong about the WBA not sanctioning his and quiggs fight as a unification because quigg had the regular title and Hearn stating they had done it before, didn't matter in the end as they elevated quigg to super champ though

The problem here is the WBO. Some sanctioning bodies allow you to do unifications with Interims or Regular Champs. WBO doesn't let you do unifications vs those type of "champs". Perfect example is when Kameda had to drop his belt to fight that british fighter for his WBA Regular.
