Barret will pummel Clark. I like Clark and fair play to him for taking the fight. The fight game needs more guys with his attitude but Barret is all wrong for him.

Pat Magee won the bid for Martin J Ward v Anthony Cacace, that fight clearly ain't happening ha. Also Sam Bowen v George Jupp elimintor and English Title fight.

Devine withdrew mate. Stuarty I prefer to be educated when I make predictions like that. Last fight Barrett was 147 pounds and usually weighs in around 133 at the very least. He made super feather limit once and surprise surprise no stoppage! This is someone who is and always been a full time fighter. Stick him in with someone who can take and give a shot it's not a foregone conclusion. Clark stops him!

How can a fighter who withdrew from a English title fight with no recognised win jump up to a final eliminator.
Good luck to ronnie

Sorry mate both fights are eliminators. Zelfa withdrew from fight with Bowen though and that was also an eliminator. Also Ronnie management wanting the Barrett fight. Course time will tell if they agree and want it also. Don't be fooled by all those stoppage wins there at welterweight ha

Firstly I don't think this fight will happen.. Zelfa has said himself he will be moving up in weight and 2ndly all risk and not much reward.. Most people will expect him to stop Clark and it's a very hard fight for both of them.. In saying that from watching Zelfa he is one of the most exciting prospects in the U.K. He is very aggressive and is improving all the time. I genuinely think he beats everyone that Ronnie had fought so far and in style.. However Ronnie is stubborn and to win he would need to stop Zelfa both hit hard and would make a fun fight.. In my opinion far easier fights for both fighters and I believe Zelfa's team will not enter purse bids here.. They are on their own journey and when you have family looking after you they don't take these kind of risks so early

Yeah Bowen seems strong, I think someone will be fighting cacace in June if I am honest. Matchroom not winning the bid says it all for me

True but styles make fights so likes of Craig Evans or Sean Dodd would be much easier fights for him.. I think although he could make Super Feather he is very big at the weight and may struggle they have had same opponents in Castillo, Cajina and Addaway and he has dealt with them in far better fashion he was very impressive against a very very tough Jamieson at the weekend.. It makes a entertaining fight if it happens.. If Ward beats Cacacae then the title will become vacant so much politics still to happen.. Shame none of these guys can fight for the vacant commonwealth title

Could be some good fights above, but barret coming down from 10s 7 to 9s 4 a big ask
Jupp vs Bowen no promotoers to put the money up so maybe not
Ward vs anto I'll believe that when they are in the ring

He weighed in on the day last week and has been making 9st 6/9st 7 comfortably for his early fights. He's made 9st 4 twice, once he didn't get the stoppage, against Lawniczak who's a tough bastard and he fought him again 4 months later and stopped him, the other fight he stopped the opponent in 4 rounds.

I saw magee won purse bids for cacace fight, I know he's very big for the weight and nobody seems to wanna fight him but what makes you think the fight wont go ahead? You obviously know more about boxing politics than I but why would wards team go ahead with the purse bids if he had no intention of taking the fight instead of vacating and dragging this out last couple months? :bag:

Well my guess is gonna be there gonna try and leave cacace waiting again and get permission to fight for European and hold the belt, kind of make it inactive like Walsh . They may also have someone else in their stable who they have plans for in case of that title. There's no way Hearn is gonna send over Martin j ward to fight on an away show to win his belt outright , it's common sense. If his plan was to go ahead with the fight he would have won the fight and put it on Ryan Burnett undercard .

Cheers thanks for the reply, but ffs I read about this today thinking atlast cacaces gonna get his shot and show how dominant he could possibly at this weight. Just my opinion but I think he beats anyone in Ireland or Britain at the weight :bag:

It will b frustrating but got to stay professional and wait. The fact matchroom lost the purse bid imo says ward vacates.

Yeah mate I think cacace is very good but in my
Opinion he won't make the weight. I heard he struggled big time when he fought clark and think that if it's a slog when you have mcguigan there then good luck without him. Just my opinion. I think ward is gonna fight for European and hold belt and try and thrash out another voluntary . In fairness to ward he shouldn't need to do two in a row.

I've heard a lot on this forum about Cacace, yet I don't know what he's like stylistically! Anyone care to tell me what he's like and how good they think he can be? Because he's definitely touted as European level at least.

He is very strong and big for the weight. Skill set good but not the best in division. Good punch power and could be one for the future, we have yet to see him in with anyone who has good boxing ability

Been aware of Zelfa since he has turned pro actually watched him last weekend on the Flanagan undercard and was impressed again.

It's clear to see improvements since he turned over. The fighters he is knocking out now he would have been going the distance with in his first year as a pro.

He has got to the point now he needs to step up to see if he is legit or not.

Barrett has had 16 fights and is yet to face anybody with a winning record! - his last opponent had won 2 from 11 fights.

Most of his fights have been on his uncles shows, so the opponents know the script and their role in the fight - Barret is to win the fight and to look good doing it.

Sooner or later they will have to fight somebody with reasonable skills who wants to win.
