I wrote Shafikov off after Barthelemy loss but his victory over Commey was really impressive. What do you think boys ?

Jamontay Clark just got a gift on the undercard, with one of the cards being among the worst I've seen.

Helps to be the PBC house fighter on Bounce too.

At minimum Golub won rounds 1,4,5,8 and round 4 could have been scored 10-8.

I think he clearly deserved the 10th too...Clark threw next to nothing and was fighting like a guy who was a mile ahead and just needed to survive.

They robbed Golub first, and then this crap. Easter could be given a close decision, but 120-108 ???

The Cinci boys were judged very generously tonight, although, unlike Clark, Easter was actually deserving of a close win.

Shafikov has been treated like shit on the cards a few times now.

116-112 seemed correct, but I need to watch it again

I mean 8-4 isnt atrocious and I thought Easter edged it, but it seemed like a number of cards tonight had been filled out ahead of time.

It would be correct if it was for Shafikov who was the aggressor throughout against Easter who probably outweighed him by 20 pounds.

Thought this fight would be a lot better than what it turned out to be.

I was hoping for Easter to to smash shafikov because for me a dominante performance would have put him close to Mikey Garcia or Linares level.

I still think Easter is a good fighter and so is Shafikov, the only good thing is Easter got a very good 12 rounds in which will help develop him as a fighter. His future is at higher weights though and I think he should move up sooner rather than later. But the problem is he would have no belt.

As for the judging those 120-108 cards are disgusting. Also Eugene Grant scored Sturm v Geale 116-112 to Sturm !!! Which shows how bad he is.

Personally I had Easter just winning. The first 6 rounds were very close and could have been either way. But Easters spell from 6-9 gave him the fight for me.

My wife and I went to the Huntington Center for the fights last night and have to say I was disappointed with the event.
Easter's last fight in February filled the venue(around 9500 capacity) with a lively crowd but last night it was only about half of that and not as lively.
The loudest the crowd got before the main event was the very heavy boos when Golub got stiffed by the judges.
The arena was rooting for the Cincy boxer but Toledo knew who really won that fight. Entertaining fight ruined by a horrendous decision.
The fight before that was decent too and the judges got that one right. Toledo's Wesley Tucker did not get a hometown decision from the judges. Enver Halili got the win he earned in the ring.
They should have kept those three judges for the rest of the night.
I would like to see Halili and Golub again, imo they were entertaining fighters.

I didn't score the Easter fight but the two 120-108 cards were terrible, that was a tough fight a close decision for Easter seemed fine but 12-0 was ridiculous. Good fight too, the crowd woke up for that one. Shafikov is a tough dude, if you want to crack that chin you might need to put a natural middleweight in there with him.
Might also be time for Easter to move up to 140.

I was looking at the poll they had up on fightnews.com last night. Most people said they thought Shafikov won. Then suddenly the poll changed to most people thought Easter won. All those media polls are crooked. Even so only a tiny percentage thought it was a shutout, which was rediculous. S was the agressor throughout and had E, who probably outweighed him by 20 pounds, hurt. They disabled comments. F boxing.

Given the incessant whining coming from a certain segment of the forum, I scored the fight with an eye toward giving Shafikov every benefit of the doubt. There were a lot of close rounds, four of which I felt were very close. I gave Shafikov three of the rounds that I had very close.

I really like Shafikov. Tough little dude. But, he did not win this fight. He made it close but he did not do enough to get the win.

My 115-113 score is very generous to Shafikov. I just cannot see an objective way to get him that win. That said, 120-108 x 2 is ridiculous. Those judges should be investigated.

Easter is a good fighter. Tougher than I expected. Does not mind the inside stuff. Love to see him v Linares.

To those who consistently want to give fighters extra points for walking forward - grow up, this is boxing. Just following your opponent around the ring catching leather is not an attribute.

I would like to see Shafikov v Zlaticanin.

Interesting that when the poll agreed with you it was fine.
Once you didn't agree with the poll it must be crooked.

It's an internet poll, large groups of people can get on at anytime and cast their votes all at once which can sway the overall result in a matter of seconds.
