I know Butcher failed the first weigh in about 12 ounces or similar over, did he make the weight the second time.

Usual story with Matchroom tell you about the weight problem but then don't bother to update.

Eddie posted he failed the weight on the 2nd attempt too! Fights still on but title only on the line for Edwards

I guess 12 ounces is an advantage at that weight. Is Butcher doing an Orlando Salido, Liam Smith etc???

Pretty disappointed at this. Is it a ploy or unprofessional? Butcher lost out to a journeyman a couple of years ago and I thought that was pretty unprofessional. Mind was obviously on other things and overlooked the guy.

I know most fighters around this weight look gaunt when they are on the scales but Butchers eyes looked they were in the back of his head. I think he genuinely tried to hit the weight just done the weight wrong this time, or maybe he just can't hit the weight

Butcher failed to make weight for his Commonwealth Flyweight title fight with Essomba last year, I would've thought the move up would help him

I was trying to remember that earlier and it wasn't registering. I knew he'd ballsed the weight up previously. Good shout. Essomba was a good win for him though. Is he trying to pull the same trick here? I want him to win being a Scotman but if he's at it I hope he gets found out. It's a hard enough game without all that pish.

I was thinking the same mate, I like Butcher he's a tidy boxer but failing the weight in 2 title fights isn't great reading

It looks like Butcher has simply outgrown the weight divisions. Super flyweight is a joke anyway. Why was it ever introduced. Flyweight is 8sts and bantam is 8 sts 6 lbs, how many professional boxers in this country need an additional weight class? My guess is 6!!

The difference between a flyweight and a big bantamweight is huge tbh mate the weight makes a lot more difference the lower down you go
