Just had a look at him there. Was KO'd in 4 by Breazeale. No notable wins on his slate. Lives in the US but was born in Jamaica so that qualifies him to compete for the commonwealth. Think I'll go for Allen by mid to late KO

Fast becoming a big Allen fan. No nonsense type, plenty of bottle and seems a proper good guy and a laugh

First 12 round fight for both men and Thomas fights in America so this is his first appearance in either a commonwealth match or in Europe as a boxer.
David Allen has the home country advantage and has fought for a title before (WBC international Vs. Whyte).

Got to give Allen the win and hopefully set up a unification match with the British title after Cornish and Sexton fight for it later this year.

Allen seems to either get thrown in over his head, or matched with poor opponents. I would like to see him in a competitively matched fight for once, so x2 on hoping for the Sexton-Cornish winner.

Thomas' best win is probably over Jason Estrada, I can't see Allen losing this...

Well that would make sense having the British and Commonwealth titles faving off! And with Allens popularity growing an sure Eddie can make it happen

Wise move of Hearns to avoid Lewison. Lets hope Allen can win this and defend against some brits or maybe the odd Canadian/aussie. Allen is good for the sport as such I hope his run continues.

Was Whyte vs Allen not 12 rounds?

I voted Allen, even though he's dog sh1t. The other guy I don't know but his record doesn't show he's a level above

Telegraph's his jab, looks slow but seen slower. I can see this being a tough enough test. Allen's a bit of a plodder so Thomas can win a couple of rounds before being worn down.

Surprised Thomas is still fighting. Must be looking for a payday. He has decent skills but not the stomach for it so to speak. I know the guy who co-managed him, and he always had excuses about why not to take fights. They let him go.

An unfit lewison went 10 against Whyte if Lewsion was fit he would be a major problem for Allen. Will Lewison ever be fit?

Can't see Allen losing this.
Can see him growing a bit of a fanbase.

Really nice guy, knowledgable about the game and gives a lot of time up for fans.

Conquered his demons, I really hope the guy finds success. His choice of opponents shows he has serious minerals.

Sadly not, 10 round fight for the WBC international title.

Dave Allen though: I hope he achieves something. Probably the most genuinely likeable boxer I can think of.

Thomas lives 50 miles north of me in St Petersburg. I go there a lot as there's loads of breweries there

I remember seeing Thomas a couple of times when he fought in the Boxcino tournament a few years back, he stopped Jason Estrada in the QF but was knocked our by Andrey Fedosov in the SF, he did put Fedosov down though so his power will be could be dangerous, Allen should be too good though, better CV and fighting at home, he was never in the Whyte or Ortiz fights but he seems to have knuckled down and got himself in the shape of his life, great opportunity for him, Commonwealth title could open some doors, I like Allen hopefully he does the bizz to set up the Lewison fight
