I would please like to know who would win the heavyweight match in their prime between "The Fighting Boilmaker" Jim Jeffries and the self-proclaimed only Irish world heavyweight champion Peter Maher in a 25 round bout? For me, I pick Jeffries by KO in the 14 round after punishing Maher with heavy punches to the body and head. What is your opinion?

Jeff by KO. Maher not even in Jims class.

Agreed, Jeff was just a class above.

Maher could punch, but no harder than Bob Fitzsimmons who could not hurt Jeffries.

So the puncher's chance goes out the window, and he's not much on defense with a shaky chin.

The size difference alone would make it hard for Maher, I've seen nothing to make me think he could overcome it.

Maher ws a serious player for several years. I guess I pretty much agree with everyon else so far. He might have made it interesting for a while, but eventually Jeffries would wear him down. Probably a KO in something like the 7th or 8th round.
