I hope Darleys Perez doesn't get robbed again

Remember the Perez-Hooker robbery?
Perez is fighting Luke Campbell on the Klitschko-Joshua card on Saturday.
Can we expect fair officiating, or will the poor guy be cheated again?

That was a shocking robbery, one of the worst I've seen. If it's close I doubt he'll get the nod. Been some shocking score cards in the UK for house fighters lately

Like Bellew said, go all out. Go for the stoppage.

Perez isnt that kind of fighter though, and would probably be less effective if he did that. I dont like the 'he shouldnt have left it to the judges' stuff, because it puts blame on the fighter who was robbed.

Confident Campbell will stop Perez anyway.

Agreed
As for uk scores, no robberies from my mind. Said a few weeks back that Jamie McDonnell was a bit lucky to keep his title but it was still a close fight. The opponent was unlucky, but it seems everything gets called a robbery these days

Yeah it just depends on who you like. If someone's guy loses and it's close its automatically a robbery! It's a subjective sport and certain folk see different things. A lot of folk were calling Kovalev v Ward a robbery ffs. I'm a Kovalev fan and thought he shaded it but it wasn't a robbery.

Yeah sorry I weren't questioning you re the U.K. Scores, just the first bit that I agreed with Campbell stopping Perez.
If a fight is close but hasn't gone your way, I get people will be aggrieved by it, but a close fight is a close fight, it only takes a couple of close rounds seen differently and it's a 4 point swing. A robbery is a clear decision taken away, like Lewis vs Holyfield 1 I guess

Nah I know mate. Was just a point. Scores over here are a bit of a piss take sometimes anyway. Everywhere has its moments I suppose. It's horrible to see when it happens though. I'm a big fan of Ricky Burns and when he got that draw against Beltran it was a fuckin joke

Somehow UK judges always like UK fighters. Brook was beating Golovkin on cards FFS. For a UK fighter, it is enough to last the whole fight and not get dropped more than once to get a nod.

That's a slight generalisation. It happens everywhere. Plenty of guys have came over and got a fair shake. There's always quite a vociferous crowd at most UK events (well the bigger ones anyway) and that can sway a judge. I read a thing a while ago that said they were considering trying judges out wearing noise cancelling headphones so they're not being swayed by a crowd. Interested to see if they go through with that.
Obviously there is blatant cheating that goes on though. Money changing hands etc... It's boxing.

I agree that it happens everywhere, but to me, UK seems a close second worst after Germany.

There were 4 scoring rounds. It's hardly the basis to start coming up with homer accusations. 4 rounds. If there's a full 12 and get it wrong then fair enough but 4 rounds is hardly the basis for this point

I am not basing on 4 rounds. I am basing on a few years of watching UK fights.

Odd you're bringing this up in a thread about a guy who was robbed in America and was given a draw against the home fighter in the U.K - when the majority thought that the home fighter won.

This thread is about a possibility of Perez being robbed in UK, but I promise to ask you every time if I can post a certain opinion in a certain thread.

Anyone can have an opinion, but when you come out with shite, like U.K. Worst after Germany, expect to be called out!

Campbell will win this comfortably and a main factor will be Perez being crap at the weight.
UK judging is probably the worst in the world but this fight won't be close.

Whoever wins the Campbell v Perez fight lets just hope it's legitimate, god know poor old Darleys has been on the end of some terrible decisions.
If your gonna beat him beat him fairly, at least do that for the guy.

They've definitely tried the headphone thing out. I believe they had it at the Breidis vs Huck fight.

I think To'C's judging is fair. He scored Murray-Rosado a 114-114 draw.
