Surely a big contender for worst heavyweight world title fight of all time? Not only can Parker only be considered 5th best heavyweight or lower, but cojanu is only the 3rd best heavy in Romania!

He has been kod in 2 rounds by one Donovan Dennis who has been knocked out 3 times by anyone half decent he's fought....

He was also out pointed by someone who has only won 6 out of 27 fights (0 kos)....

What match up is worse? Tomashek - Morrison? At least Tim was durable.... Pete Rademacher? At least he won a gold medal and dropped Patterson....

I think this is the worst... (at least Rocky Balboa beat spider Rico )

There are massive mitigating circumstances in fairness.

If we're talking about fighters getting a shot without the fact that a late cancellation has meant a sub is brought in at the last minute then we have plenty to go on. Ed Mahone, Peter Okhello and Arthur Sosnowski all in relatively recent years come to mind as pretty poor challengers.

Cojanu is easily up there with the worst major title challengers ever. I'm not at all confident that he would've beaten Damon Reed. Obviously there are mitigating circumstances, but god dang, Razvan Cojanu and world title fight just shouldn't go together.

I forgot about Reed.... an awful record. But in mitigation, your honour, he did go 6 rounds with Hasim Rahman and the distance with James Toney!
And his only loss before facing Hide was to the world rated Brian Neilsen....

Reed was off the top of my head, as I remember him making Herbie Hide look like the son of Ali and Liston. Looking at his record, he was probably pretty tough, and much better suited to Cruiserweight.

It just highlights all what is wrong with our game unfortunately, if they had tried people and they turned it down then name them at least it sounds better than this. Pulev and Johnson fight Friday either one is far and away above this guy, Chisora/Helenius fight soon as well Whyte/Wach again not a million miles away.

It's awful and there is no getting away from it.

Weird reaction to this. Parker has been let down by Fury and is having a stay busy which nobody will be interested in but it was that or don't fight at all.

I wonder what the odds will be on Cojanu by first round KO?

To be fair to Raz, that is a perfect shot...... maybe he'll make it to round 2?
