As an American, i was very surprised to hear the Brits Boo Eddie Hearn like that. Could someone explain what that was all about? To me, Eddie Hearn is a great promoter that is helping the Brits yield belt after belt and good fight after fight. Heck, he just put 90k in Wembley Stadium. Brits have always been fair fans as tonight displayed with their applause for Wlad's effort. I was very surprised to hear that. Any idea why?

I think a lot of it is pantomine booing. It's a bit of a running joke that Hearn is disliked but I doubt the people that paid a lot of money to go to this fight dislike him for putting this fight on that they paid a lot of money to go to.

Guy's a total pudendum that's been shafting british fans for years with utter bullshit pay-per-views.

His fights are good. He just addicted for attention.

Ahhhhhhh...now that sounds like a good reason. In America, we've only had to pay for the big fights per PPV. That does make some sense then. Thanks man.

He's a bell

He was handed a monopoly on british boxing because of his dad's cosy relationship with the UK's biggest sports tv company.

He is also very self-assured with the trappings of inherited wealth, big house, flash car etc which tends to rub people up the wrong way.

Personally, I think he is a class act and a brilliant promoter. For me, he has taken the batten handed down to him and he has run with it.

They boo him but they've just helped make him a lot richer...that'll show him.

Us Brits have a tendency to boo people who are rich and successful. Its called "Tall Poppy Syndrome".

Then again not too different from when the Nathan Cleverly v Tony Bellew rematch was here.

Yeah, I think it's more this than anything else. People were booing the Ukrainian anthem as well. They're quite stupid.
