What was the view like at Wembley?

I am sure the atmosphere for the main event was great, but could you actually see what was happening in the ring? I used to think Wembley arena (Empire Pool to my generation) was too big to get a good view of the action. I saw Bruno v McCall at the old Wembley stadium (when I say saw I mean I was there) and have never been a fan of stadium fights. Much prefer York Hall any day.

It just occurred to me that most of the crowd at Wembley weren't boxing fans, so probably don't use this forum.

Wasn't there but saw some of the footage of people on their phones. Fcking brutal view. I think even the screen would have been hard to watch from some places

I was sitting in the first raised tier and the view from there was acceptable, any higher up or further back would have been a poor view IMO.
Of course there were big screens around the stadium so you could watch the action close up.
Most people go for the atmosphere - which was great. We had a super night out.

My cousin's kid went, who is 18 and what you would term a casual, he was in the first upper tier and said that the view was ok, but also said it was one of the best days of his life, which was good to hear. It's these sort of events that can give the sport a new generation of fans, which is sorely needed.
Speaking of the old Wembley Arena, I remember being sat a few rows back at ringside for Bruno - Pierre Coetzer and the ring was so high up I ended up with a stiff neck for the next couple of days. Boring stories at no extra charge...

I was in the £40 seats, on a corner.....terrible view, so I was forced to watch the main event on the big screen. There was also a huge metal pole for the over ring canvas blocking the ring view.
I sat in the middle of the top tier for the undercard, and was there for Froch-Groves II and that is a fairly decent view.
Last night was all about the event though, which was absolutely unreal.

Was on what would be the half way line 30 odd rows up. Wasn't a good view but I wanted to go just once and say I'd done it. Almost certainly stick to watching joshua fights on tv now.
Was a good night though.
