What we learnt at the weekend AJ v WK

Going into the fight I was struggling to pick a winner due to too many unknown factors. Saturday night cleared a few of those things up
AJ's chin is solid enough to not adversely impact on his career
AJ can carry his power late and is ok doing 12 rounds at a decent pace
The lack of head movement, immobility and stiffness with AJ is still there
AJ struggled to recover from his exertions in that Early 5th round blitz on WK. Clearly the muscles were full of lactic acid and it took him a long time to recover allowing WK to mount a great comeback in the round.
Both fighters showed balls and heart and WKs chin looked pretty damn good.
Whilst WK was in amazing shape the lack of killer instinct/cautiousness possibly cost him the fight in the 6th round.
AJ will have learnt a lot from that fight and WK presumably suffered from the 18 month gap between fights. If there is a rematch then it needs to happen very soon (like September) or there is no chance WK can reverse the result.
So overall AJ answered most of the questions people had about him in a positive manner ! Chin and heart are there, but like most fighters there are some holes in his game. Whether he can correct them remains to be seen but truth be told he doesn't need to improve to beat the current crop .
A top shape Fury and possibly WK in a quick rematch could beat him! ( but neither may happen) no one else seems to have the necessary tools at the moment .

Thank you for starting a new thread, I was just thinking that there just were not enough covering this fight and clearly none would have been a fitting place to make what you wrote just a post rather than thread

Disagree with this. I don't think he was tired or punched himself out, I think his stamina is fine. What took everything out of him was an absolutely huge left hook that Wlad had everything into and landed cleanly on the chin. When I saw that happen I was like "oh sh*it!!!" it was the same shot that Pulev was out from. Couldn't have landed any cleaner. Joshua was very very hurt and doing a great job of not showing it. Froch was the only one who picked up on it. Then when Klitschko applied some pressure it became obvious AJ was severely hurt. I don't think he was tired I think it was a case of him being badly stunned. He showed great survival skills

I'm hoping someone can help me with a question on fitness ?.
IMO -
AJ - would it help if he had less muscle ?. Or would he lose punch power ?.
Klitschko - I felt he was very fit for a 41 year old, coming in his lightest, but, he didn't seem to be able to finish AJ when he had a chance. Would it have helped if he had a bit more muscle ?. Coming in heavier ?.
I'm just a fight fan with no boxing experience, asking a question, hoping someone with knowledge in this area can answer, so please don't shoot me down if I've missed something !.
