I've a feeling the boxrec of the future will talk a lot about peak Tyson Fury. The one who showed up against Wladimir and wowed him so much with his faints and moves that he just couldn't throw a punch. Unfortunately, peak Tyson Fury would never return for many reasons but we'll be safe in the knowledge that peak Tyson Fury would beat just about anybody.

But would peak Tyson Fury beat peak Mike Tyson? Remember we aren't talking about the Tyson Fury that got put down by Cunningham, that wasn't peak Tyson Fury.

Clearly he'd have an absolutely huge height and reach advantage and he also has a very underrated inside game but I'm pretty certain he'd find it very tough to keep a prime Tyson off him.

I was about to say something similar myself.... people seem to be going on about Fury like he was as experienced as Muhammad Ali.... remember back 17 months ago, people were saying something similar about Fury as they were Joshua prior to the weekend. The jump between beating the likes of Chisora and Cunnigham was huge.

The fact is that BOTH Fury and Joshua have had 1 fight at true elite level world class.... Fury won a CLOSE decision (somehow it has turned into a Schooling) against a pretty poor version of Klitchsko.... and Joshua was arguably 6 minutes from defeat against an older (albeit seemingly better) Klitchsko.

I think BOTH fights gave us lots of answers and also lots of questions about both Joshua AND Fury.

One might argue that the biggest winner on Saturday was actually Wlad.... because as much as I want to see Joshua vs Fury... I would like to see "that" Klitchsko vs Fury 2 and Klitchsko vs Joshua 2.

Interesting one, Tyson for me because he was so quick. He was always the smaller man, it never held him back at his peak.

Knowledge would be if he'd actually beaten just about anybody.

Even with his booster boots on, Tyson'd be about eight inches shorter than Fury, and their reach difference is massive. Fury would handle him easily — it's true... until Tyson landed. Fury doesn't have the power to stop Tyson early, so he'd stay at range behind his jab until Tyson closed, and then clinch and lean. For the most part, Tyson wouldn't be able to do much to stop that, and with his relatively short arms he'd have a very small chance of chinning Fury with an overhand or hook.

But he would slip most of Fury's jabs to get inside, and as much as Fury could negate his inside work by basically falling on him, the fight's over as soon as Tyson lands a big bodyshot or uppercut.

Peak Fury could definitely defeat Tyson in a blow hoovering contest.

A peak MT would be bobbing and weaving under furys jabs before unloading body shot after body to bring his chin down then bam night night big man

Isn't Fury being investigated whether this peak version of him was on Performance Enchancing Drugs?

Not only that, he was fighting in a weird stance - kind of sideways - and looked like he wanted to turn his back, several times. It was truly horrible and he was very, very lucky.

He's sparred Hertz Van Rental and Mitchell Van Hire I'm sure aye. Top lads. Reliable.

Tyson Fury often spars kickboxers, Rico Verhoeven for example (current 270 pound ish kickboxing champion of the world), because they don't stop fighting after 2 or 3 rounds.
Kickboxers usually keep on standing up and fight back till they really can't any more, especially the Dutch ones, that's also the reason why Tyson Fury became champion of the world, despite his lifestyle. Also note that Vitali, Wladimir and Povetkin started as kickboxers.

It's funny to see so many guys with lack of knowledge making fun, but it's oke, you'll figure out the truth eventually.
