1. David Price is the best example.

2. I don't know any top level fighter without power - good chin.

Tomohiro Ebisu is a bit of a glass cannon, went the distance for the first time this past Monday

Takuya Kogawa is the opposite, Muranaka too I guess

Ricky Burns has never been stopped and he faced Terence Crawford, but he only possesses a 29% KO ratio, despite having faced quite a lot of journeymen over the span of 48 fights.

He has only scored three early stoppages in the last four years, over the span of ten fights.

Does he count?

Calzaghe used to have a good chin in his day. He was also a light puncher albeit his hand injury was the cause as early Calzaghe could punch and had a good ko %

Chisora, to a certain degree. He's a big lump so he can put a lot of weight into it, but his technically quite incorrect so not what you'd call powerful. His chin holds up well

Cleverly, good chin, only kovalev put him away and he's put better men down than cleverly. Light puncher, all arm.

Big punchers

I don't think I can beat price.

Andy Lee, though he's not really a massive puncher but he has a dig and hit the floor kinda often

Eugene "Cyclone" Hart - all of his losses I believe were by KO, and the majority of his wins were by KO also

Paulie Malignaggi I always thought took a good shot, and obviously didn't have too much power.

There are several more examples of both though.

I pretty much came here to give the same example as some others -- David Price and Paulie Malignaggi. Julian Jackson and Travis Walker come to mind as fighters with a lot more power than chin. Sam Soliman, Nobuhiro Ishida, and Kendrick Releford kind to mind as tough fighters who lack power.

Good call on Jimmy Thunder.

His chin wasn't necessarily weak, but Earnie Shavers didn't have a good chin and his power was *pretty* good :OhYes:

Big punchers with weak chins - Oleg Maskaev, Herbie Hide, David Price, Jeremy Williams, Michael Grant, Derrick Jefferson, Alexander Gurov, Ole Klementsen, William Guthrie, Augie Sanchez

Weak punchers with great chins - Teddy Yarosz and Tommy Yarosz

Seth Mitchell - hits like a truck and got his chin exposed big time against Banks and Arreola. I was expecting Mitchell to be a big name in heavyweight a few years ago after he started wrecking dudes on HBO. Then we saw what happens when somebody lands a clean one on him. Too bad because offensively he was dangerous and very fun to watch.

Also an example of the opposite is Sergio Mora - 9 KO's in 28 wins and has only ever been stopped by Danny Jacobs. He's got a pretty good beard but can't punch worth a poo.

Tommy Morrison was one of my first thoughts for big power with a relatively weak chin.

I don't know a whole lot about him, but Maxie Rosenbloom is probably a good example of the light hitting-good chin group. I think Pernell Whitaker would fit as well. It's always tough with guys who didn't get hit a lot, like Whitaker, but eventually he showed he had the beard too.

Julian Jackson. Dude was practically the textbook definition of big power/weak chin. Holyfield would probably be the strong chin, weak power guy, granted he was fighting guys well above his weight class.
