First I've heard of this title. Jono Carroll v Jon quigley at super feather both unbeaten looks a good fight

It's been going for a few years now, a little strangely it's called the East West Europe title

I was going to ask about this actually too as in late June, Jimmy Kelly is fighting for one of these IBF Europe Titles too.

I seen other day, I was kind of half hoping they meant WBO European title, another meaningless trinket

or is EBU title the one that counts

Suppose it'll help get you a decent ranking with the IBF if nothing else.

Hopefully the title is vacant and there's good opposition. The current holder I see is 17-12.

Going the traditional route British Commonwealth Euro is dying out.

Shame because fighters actually learned before world level.

Instead fighters are getting toy belts like the WBO European and not learning. We have enough people parading around as world champions confusing people getting into the sport. Now we will have loads of people claiming to be European champion.

Bet there will be a WBO British champion in my lifetime......I'm not even joking.

Well..... yes and no.
All other parts of the world have numerous titles at each level too so the route to the top is comparable everywhere

I think it's the collapse of the EBU. They've came a cropper on several occasions with all the MBC sh*t. The EBU doesn't even know what it is, it flits from being merely a championship organisation one minute, to the head honcho of the European national federations and dishing out orders the next.


As someone pointed out elsewhere, the EBU is merely the WBC and BBBoC. - wonder if the wbc gets kickbacks from EBU sanctions???

WBA used to recognise / operate the EBA at one time, which has since became defunct.

We have about 15 world championship organisations of differing alphabetical acronyms, and I reckon they'll all invent their euro titles soon.

I barely see good matchmaking these days. Look at Ohara Davies for example talking about world titles yet ducked a British title fight and fought a shot lightweight from below defending a bullshit belt

It's just get a toy belt fake ranking and fight for a belt.

Look at billy joe Saunders for example. I can't stand him now but he fought the right fights coming through.
