I hope Canelo will keep his word and he will ignore WBC. Imagine the most greedy and shady boxing org. not having the biggest cash-cow in boxing on their payroll. Also Canelo is a mexican. LOL

The WBC also gifted Canelo a JMW title shot against Matty Hatton, at 150 pounds. They've done a lot for his career, and it's funny to see him single them out as the unfair organization...
Isn't the issue that they mandated him to fight GGG? Ya, fornicate that! That's a horrible move for boxing.

This isn't something as fans that we should be happy about. We need boxers to put more stock into holding these world title belts and honoring the mandatory defenses and top ranked boxers within their divisions. We saw what happened with Floyd and it wasn't good. Floyd didn't care about titles or belts or mandatories and what did we get? A mega fight 5 years too late that put the masses to sleep. Endless slap fights in uncompetitive matchups.

We see the same thing with the heavyweights, nobody takes the WBC serious any more.
