Highly ranked heavyweight Christian Hammer, fresh off wins over Erkan Teper and David Price, take on Frenchman Zine Eddine Benmakhlouf (22-5-1) on May 19 in Hamburg on EC Boxing´s big "The Big Deal" show.

Benmakhlouf´s last fight was for split decision loss to Taylor Mabika in a World Boxing Fed title fight at cruiserweight.

EC Boxing expects to have Hammer, reigning WBO Euro champ, in a world title fight in the near future and they very well might be right. Topping the Hamburg bill is cruiser Mario Daser taking on Ola Afolabi and light heavyweight Igor Mikhalkin vs Thomas Oosthuizen.

Hammer is alright as far as heavyweights today go. He's got a few solid wins. Can't see him troubling anyone with a strap. Fury toyed with him and never even broke sweat. To be fair he done the same to Chisora.

He's only 29, he's taken 5 losses, but like you said, he's got some decent wins. Fury toys with everyone TBH lol. Hammer would be a decent name for young prospect.

Had Price beaten him, it would have been his best win lol, but best win regardless.

There's definitely some good fights out there for Hammer. I'd still take the likes of Chisora and Whyte to best him. Maybe he's better than I remember. I just can't get the image of Fury slapping him around out my head which is probably a bit unfair to the guy
