Can anyone tell me what Mike is doing these days.

He was a good opponent in his day fighting Bruno and Tyson etc.

Mike Jameson from Cupertino, California.

I remember him in with Tyson, moustache ay

I always thought that he kindofsortof resembled a"Poorman's "Gerry Cooney,
minus the tremendous left hook and possibly boxing skills that Cooney enjoyed.

Bruno's first and surprisingly good 'ghosted' book - which covered his early fights in detail - suggests that they were always pleased to get Jameson out of the way and so quickly.

The fight with Mike was designed by Lawless/Duff to be a way of introducing/marketing Bruno to a US audience.

And I think it also came off the back off a fairly extensive American learning trip where Bruno sparred with blokes like Tillis, Jeff Sims and a few other notables. Honeyghan and I think Kaylor were on the same learning tour as well.

They always felt Big Mike could be beaten, but there seems to have been a fair amount of anxiety as well. Perhaps an early sign that Frank was prone to getting anxious and tense up?

Jameson looked like Cooney physically. He could have played him in a movie.

I have a feeling that Bruno also spent a few days with Holmes during this trip but Larry was not having any sparring (having done plenty down the line himself to earn a dollar) and that Frank was a bit in awe of Holmes.
