How did Razvan Cojanu persuade the WBO he deserved a title shot against Joseph Parker last night for the WBO world heavyweight title? Parker beat this guy on points at 16-3 Cojanu hasn't really foght a world class opponant to get a world title ranking. Other than that not sure how the fight went but im guessing if Parker cant take out this sort of opponant AJ does not need to worry one bit.

Because fury pulled out at short notice and he was in the country. No drama.

In fairness Cojanu could be a decent gatekeeper type fighter for young heavies.

The fury (pardon the pun) over this fight seems a bit misplaced. If you have pretty much zero time to find a replacement, then you can't argue if the guy drafted in at short notice isn't very good.

The issue for me is why this was still a world title fight. By all means have a stay-busy, but that should be it. If Wlad pulls out a week before the Joshua fight and they can still stick someone in the other corner but it happens to be David Price, David Price shouldn't be fighting for a world title.

How a drug fail, not fought in a year Hughie got to the ranking he did as well is another matter, but equally farcical.

Couldn't some one of stepped in like whyte Briggs Dave Allen etc and then given their respective fights scheduled side step.money and offered to fight.them later on or was it too short a notice. ?

I mentioned in another thread that he'd be a good opponent for Dubois in the next fight or two.
