"Khan: I Didn't Pull Out, Pacquiao Pulled Out To Take an Easy Fight"
Khan has also not given up hopes of facing WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao which was proposed but has failed to materialise so far.
“The Pacquiao fight could still happen. It wasn’t me who pulled out, he pulled out and fought an easy fight in Australia, probably for less money whereas the money on the table against me was a lot more. We are friends but if that happens, we have to put friendship aside,” he said.
Thoughts?

This idiot is fuckin irrelevant. Until he fights someone worth talking about I couldn't give two shíts about him or his bollocks patter he spouts.

Khan is always begging for big money fights with Mayweather and Pacquiao, but he hasn't given boxing fans a reason to believe that he would even beat Brook, Thurman, Garcia, Porter, Peterson, Bradley, or Spence.

Who cares? Does Khan not realize he was pretty much an easy fight too?

I would be more enthusiastic about Khan than Horn, that's for sure.
But it's been so long since Khan last fought.
His best weapon is his speed and that gets less with father time.
He was all over Canelo for a while but we knew his chin was going to be his downfall.
The longer he stays out if the ring, the less relevant he becomes until someone asks - Khan who?

I would definitely rather see Manny and Khan than this guy Horn. I still don't understand what Arum is doing with Manny's career ending. Manny should only be fighting huge fights now. Manny vs. Thurman should be the fight that is next made in the WW division. The Welterweight division has been jacked with talent for so long and promoters have failed to extract the money and entertainment from it for some reason. Sad

It makes me laugh that most everyone here and in the articles I read are totally fine with the Horn match-up. Floyd was criticized big time for taking a last fight with Berto, but Pac is given a pass for a half dozen of "Bertos" because it is his farewell tour. Double standards and a bunch of BS.
Call the Horn fight and most of Pac's recent fights what they are, poor, easy win match-ups that no one wants to see. When Floyd was Pac's age people were screaming for him to fight the top guys. Now I hear Pac won't fight Crawford, Spence, Brook, Thurman, etc due to his farewell tour. At least Wlad had the balls to fight a young lion like Joshua. Pac and his team are pussies.

Both Pacquiao and Khan are fk-headed chronic duckers...as is Bradley... and Floyd was a ducker as well.
If any of them ever agreed to fight Brook, Thurman, Spence, or Porter I would have fainted dead away... Pacquiao is the worst worst ducker ever... At least Khan fought somebody he knew would knock him cold so he could avoid Brook, who might torture him until the weenie quits -- because he hates Khan for ducking him for so many years... If Spence knocks Brook out you think the Khan fight will then be made??? ... NO... That will provide Khan with a fresh excuse.

So Amir can now sit around for another year trying to get Manny Pacqiuao to agree to fight him!
Whilst he's sitting around again, why doesn't he give Tommy Hearns a call?
The Hitman loves fighting & would probably agree to it if the price was right.
Why doesn't just get on with his career & move himself up the rankings, then he can bag a megafight with any number of top class WW's that around walking the Earth today?

Of course he didn't pull out, Pacquioa is the A-side.
Guy is also irrelevant since he needs a win to get back on track. He should fight Berto.

I view Khan as a retired fighter these days. And like most retired fighters he would come back if the money is right. Alvarez was a big payday, Mayweather and Manny would have been huge paydays. Brook is probably the only other huge payday out there for him. Other than Manny or Brook coming off I'd be surprised to see him in a ring again

Con is just cherry-picking and ducking his way to retirement...

To be a cherry picker you have to actually win the fights you choose. To be a ducker you have to actually have guys looking to fight you that you avoid. Nobody is really calling out Khan anymore.

Too true.
Khan is yesterday's news: Actually, as for as welterweight's go he's never been news.
He's barely had a career at the weight & has spent more time idle than fighting at 147.
Meanwhile, a smoking hot division has left him behind whilst he continues to be idle.

Pacquaio is being matched up now, but it's wrong to label him as a ducker. He's fought some terrific fighters during his career

Manny has one of the all time great resumes. You don't know shit about boxing.
