Are the Brook and Jacobs fights ? Age ?

Maybe Golovkin finally stopped demanding too much money.

..I believe promoters on both sides came to realise they gonna make huge profit, win or lose..

I think after his last two performances they have realised when he steps up in competition he looks human, that and they will make a boat load of cash.

Yeah, it's a mix of all. Too late and the people would lose interest , meaning less money.

Fight had to happen, too much money to be made for it not. Golden boy waited it out for as long as they could imo

Another mismatch like the last two and Canelos stock would go down so low that it would hurt his marketability. Kellerman did not make secret about how unhappy he was about what transpired in Canelo/Chavez. Last year HBO gave Canelo one year to munch on the cherries of his choosing. Now they expect a real fight. Win or loose Canelo needs GGG to restore his credibility. Jacobs fight was inconsequential in regards of this decision. The decision was already made. But it probably does give Alvarez team bit more confidence in the fight.

By people if you mean few odd haters on youtube that cant get over themselves because of the agenda yes. Haters will hate, as it goes. But for the rest of the humanity no. He is already very popular as it is and if he beats GGG he will be boxings number one star, well besides Joshua of course.

I think they thought nothing. His team has not much to say. Canelo is known to fight risky opponents. GGG, Lara, nobody want to fight those kind of guys.

I think that GGG's last two performances had the most to do with why Canelo and GB picked this moment to put their golden child on the line for this payday. I think that the public demand had something to do with it as well. You can only answer the same questions so many times.

But I think that this delay was strategic and it was to put Canelo in the best possible position to win. I just really hope that both fighters agree to VADA testing for this fight. I haven't head anything about testing. Have you?
