Olympian Tony Yuka makes his debut on the 2nd June against 12-0 Travis Clark.

His wins are against opposition which were modest at best, but nice to see Yuka fighting a bloke with a decent record to start his debut.

Yoka is the real 'Son of Judges'

He's a good fighter, though I have questions about his durability.

What a decent debut. Not seen anything of Yuka but going in with a guy who is 12-0 must be something good. Even though this guy hasnt fought a great deal he does have something to hold onto. Should be an interesting fight.

Similar to AJ's debut....an unbeaten opponent who hadn't fought anyone notable.

Will look a strong start on the record.

Between the Worlds and Olympics he won, there were about 5 decisions that could've gone against him. The AIBA were in love with him and his wife....

The Turkish guy who KO'd him a year before Rio had the right idea...

No idea how he got the decision over Joe Joyce in Rio. Wouldn't mind seeing a rematch in the pros if Joyce turns over.

Yah I had Joyce winning that clearly.

Boxing has been really growing in France recently, it will interesting how far Yoka can go in the pros.

Certainly a lot of story lines that could happen, and a lot of potential big fights down the road.....certainly one to follow

Luckily, and assuming the judges aren't so corrupt...in the pro game it's 12 rounds when it matters. He's always looked like he gets weaker as his fights go on. Hes going to be a lovely scalp for a few fighters in years to come. I can see revenge being dished out ( Hrgovic especially ) in the pro game.

Yoka lost to the Croatian in the semis as well, actually, I would have put money on the Croatian lad beating Joyce if he had got there.

Misha Aloyan recently debuted against a guy that gave Jamie Conlan hell, nice to see these guys stepping in against good opponents, Josh Kelly too!

AJ probably never deserved to medal in the Olympics and he's done alright. Not sure how good the Yoka fella will be in the pros as I've only seen him a couple of times as an amateur but he's certainly marketable the same as AJ.

Joshua lost to Savon so I agree with you there. He should have arguably got the nod a year earlier in the worlds though, where he actually performed better than in London.

I wouldn't say he is as marketable or has the ceiling Joshua had though. Yoka has been boxing since he was a kid and looks fragile. Savon absolutely poleaxed him a few years ago. Joshua is still learning it seems. Being French will hold him back too...and rightly so

Seriously though, I hope he comes good. Always good to have exciting additions to the big boys. Hrgovic is my tip out of the Rio Olympians though.

I don't watch as much of the amateurs as I probably should tbh mate. I'll keep an eye out for that Hrgovic dude though Who's he signed with?

I remember AJ lost to the home fighter in the final of the worlds didn't he? I didn't see the fight but I remember reading it was a bit of a stitch up job.

Joshua vs Savon decision was awful, but his fight against Camarelle was dealy even in my opinion and could have gone either way. It wasn't a robbery.

If that's the case you will literally cry if you ever watch the Savon fight!

I had Joshua-Cammarelle as a pick em. Savon clearly beat Joshua.

Joshua had previously beaten Cammarelle ( fairly convincingly too ) so he already had that notch under his belt so to speak.

Savon is a real talent but Joshua was a pup then and it was a different sport basically. People put too much in what happened back in the head guard points scoring days. Today's am game is a much better indication of how they'll get on in the pros.
