For years floyd wanted to let fans know that he was his own boss and he calls the shots.

Its a lie, like everything that floyd has saying in the past 10 years. He lied about being an entertaing boxer. He lied about wanting to fight a prime pacquaio. He lied about not wanting to fight prime margarito, saying 8 million were not enough, when truth was he simply didnt want to deal with a tall guy is more aggressiv and punches as hard as maidana. Now i fkund out today that dana is gonne meet haymon to finilyze the deal for chicken/mcgregor. Which is an insult to boxing fans who will watch an atg boxer school an amateur boxer for 36 boring minutes.

All i know is when you are your own boss and meet with another boss. Than you and not somebody else enters the meeting room.

They are the promoters. Mayweather can't be expected to do everything.

Donor's too. Considering the amount of money they are going to pay these guys. Don't think the fight is going to sell on it's own merit. It's going to take a lot of promotion.

I hope mcgregor forgets its boxing and not MMA and launches a huge kick to the head, cleans out Floyd, then is disqualified

Didnt floyd always said he had no promoters and was his own boss? Cant expect him to do everything hahaha.....floyd is doing vacation for the last 12 month +, it would be realy tough for him to make a deal for his fight and talk to dana for 1 hours and than training for 2 month. Poor floyd, 2 month of training and some meetings for only 100.000.000 $. You right it is way to much for floyd.

He has his own promotional company, but he obviously wants a fight of this magnitude to be handled by them because they have the connections and experience to do this and also so that he can focus on training.

No matter the promotion's. It's going to be a big hurdle to sell a ATG 49-0 boxer vs. McGregor who is making his boxing debut.

I figure the fight will largely be sold to UFC fans who just don't know any better and naively believe their guy is gonna be the one to beat Mayweather. Either though or casual fans who just don't understand the massive gap in Boxing skill they're about to witness.

A lot of hardcore fans don't give a sh*t about this fight. We see it for what it is. A circus act.

I mean i ll watch the fight, but 0 $ will leave my pocket. The only reason why i ll watch the fight is because i like the hype atmosphere and looking at all the szupid celebritys who paid 10.000 $ for ringside seats only to watch a boring which have been all mayweather fights since gatti fight 15 years ago

The Celebrities often just go to those things to be seen. They barely care about the fight or the event a lot of the time or at least it seems that way.

I go to Twin Peaks to watch boxing PPVs. I pay no money to enter and get to look at hot women in between rounds. They did charge $10 for Canelo vs. Chavez though and I was glad I skipped that one. I figure they will charge at least $20 for Mayweather vs. McGregor.

That might be part of it, but a lot of it is also just their own vanity. It's a big event with a lot of eyes on it and they like to be seen at events like that. I'm sure there are some celebrities that are legitimately fight fans and actually enjoy it, but you can tell from the looks on some of their faces that some of them couldn't give less of a sh*t about the event they're attending.

I guess Meryl Streep won't be there. She won't be attending MMA events either.

I agree. The only movie I saw of her in the theater was Kramer vs. Kramer. She sucked in it and they gave her an Oscar.

The whole fight is such a ridiculous joke anyway, how about something like pausing every couple of rounds to cut the gloves off and go MMA rules for a few minutes?

like the last 20 fights void was in. an act. this will be as fake as everything else the joke is involved in.
