Kell Brook says he would take a rematch with Gennady Golovkin

Kell Brook would welcome a rematch with Gennady Golovkin after losing his unbeaten record to 'GGG', but says a second fight should be held at super-welterweight.
Asked about a Golovkin rematch, Brook exclusively told Sky Sports: "Absolutely I would. I would love to get back in there with him.
"I would probably like to fight the weight above welterweight and maybe two fights, and then fight him. Instead of the big step up in class and higher weight division.
"But I would love one day to get back in there with 'GGG' and have another tear up with him."
"It's been very, very tough because I moved to middleweight and then I had time off, so my weight went even higher.
"It's been gradual but we have got there. Every day is tough and we take one day at a time, but I'm sat here now and I'm on target. I'm hitting my targets, so I'm happy."

Brooks needs a convincing win over Spence to even talk about Golovkin rematch. At this time, the rematch discussion is ridiculous.

He said, he wants to move up to 154, have a couple of fights and then fight GGG.. Yeh, by then GGG wil be 38

Gennady Golovkin earned about $4m to face Kell Brook… and the Kazakh would be highly-enthusiastic about sharing the ring with the Brit again if he can command similar sums for the rematch.
With the exception of Canelo, I don’t see GGG being paid similar sums against anyone else.
From a business perspective, I reckon Eddie Hearn will be able to sell the event to the UK market again, regardless as to whether or not the Brit deserves a second opportunity to face GGG.
As long as Kell Brook delivers a decent performance against Errol Spence Jr, then a highly-lucrative rematch against Gennady Golovkin should not be considered beyond the realms of possibility.

If Golovkin can beat Canelo, his PPV stock will rise.
Reports suggested the sky box office numbers were around 500k? I'm not s sure fans would want to see a rematch.. but if the demand is there, Eddie has a very good relationship with Tom Loeffler, so it can be made.

If he beats Spence and then Khan, they would probably be able to do Wembley again!

I think he loses to Spence - I don't like his honesty about the weight making problems. Kell needs to be 100% to beat Spence IMO.

Mmm. I do wonder if it might get him into a mindset where he almost expects defeat, he's getting the excuses in early anyway, but it isn't too far from 'it's a struggle to get to the weight', to 'I'm against the odds here' to loss being almost already being accepted in his mind.
Not good signs IMO

Ironically I think he could do very wel against Canelo at 154, not that Canelo would fight him there

He would get more for Saunders or Eubank... They have a much better chance than Brook... Albeit not a big chance for BJS.
Also a Eubank-Saunders rematch would sell out Wembley immediately... They weren't big when they fought before.

This concerns me also. He struggled to make weight before the Golovkin fight, so going up to middle and then ballooning, I cannot imagine how difficult it has been. He could be very weak on the scales - or maybe even miss weight.

He should concentrate on 147 or 154

The Golovkin-Brook event was primarily funded via Sky’s ‘Box Office’ PPV model. Neither Saunders nor Eubank Jr. are aligned with Eddie Hearn and Sky, so I don’t know how they would be able to fund the sort of payday that GGG would require to travel to the UK again.
For sure, HBO could sanction the likes of Saunders and Brook as suitable opponents for GGG if they fought in the US, but Golovkin’s payday would be far less than the money he received from Matchroom Promotions and Sky.

Trust me, don't go down this path with Kalan. He genuinely told me when Calzaghe fought Manfredo he'd have sold out Wembley and beat 80k fighting the British super midddleweight champion Carl Froch.

I have a bad feeling about Brook in this fight with Spence Jr. I have a feeling that Brook is going to be trounced in a shocking way for some reason. I hope that it doesn't happen and Brook finds a way to win this one but I just don't feel good about it.
Spence fighting for his first world title and first big event. This could be a coming out party like no one's ever seen.

Eubank Jr vs Saunders doesn't do 90k imo

And in PPV, stadium fight terms, they are not that big now either.

If he gets beaten by Spence there really won't be much interest in seeing him in any Superfights at the moment. He'll have to win a fight or two against some contenders to get himself back in the mix. So he'd better be concerning himself with Spence and not talking about anything else for now because he's got his hands plenty full with Spence.

If it is not a humiliating loss, Brook could still go after top WWs including Garcia. Of course if he moves to 154, he needs to try a second tier fighter first.

Brook is dreaming if he thinks he's ever getting a rematch with GGG.
