Maywrather vs McGregor will be the perfect example

How stupid a lot of people are!!!! :OhYes:

Definition of stupidity for me: if you make or buy something that you do not like over and over and over again.

What i mean, floyd has been boring fans for 10 years now, but everybody keeps buying ppv, in a time where a lot of people dont have much money they waste it on mayweather running 12 rds against guerrero or 12 rds of fans falling a sleep tp mayeather pacquiao, than to top it of mayweather berto. And now mayweather vs a guy with a pro record of 0-0-0 and ibet it is financiely gonne be a huge success. I much rather would like to see thurman, pacquaio against mcgregor. At least those 2 would go for the KO, instead of running and dancing to a boring ud like chicken alsays does.

People are stupid nowadays or have they always been...

I thought talk of this sh*t had died down

Both sports are fighting sports but boxing & mma are completely different respectively!

McGregor doesn't have a hope in hell of beating mayweather in a boxing ring & same that mayweather doesn't have a hope in hell in beating mcgregor in a cage

Therefore, Any talk of a fight between the 2 is pointless

OP, you are really wrong on several issues.
first, floyd mayweather was not a boring
boxer, he just was a defensive counter
puncher. wlad was boring, floyd was not
and i say this as one of his critics. i for
one believe he managed to get credit for
inactivity, which i find unfair, but it ain't
easy to make judges believe that you being
inactive is worth points.

secondly, repeated PPV records speak volumes.
he was for many years THE draw in boxing
and not many people in boxing history could
say they achieved such status.

floyd vs mcgregor is a stupid, but very easy fight
for floyd and as much as i despise it as a bout,
from a business perspective it seems to make
supersense for either man.

You are wrong on all 3 points.

Floyd was boring. He had always problems with his hands, thats why he rarely threw punches. His strategy was always "run, shoulder roll, jab, wrestle, elbow, hug, every now and than cross", the seconde he changed from prety boy to money he was boring. The only fights he wasnt boring were when his opponents were aggressiv and tried to make a fight, rather than run to a ud. Floyd did just enough to win a round, which is boring.

Adrien broner is a bigger draw in boxing than rigondeaux or gonzales. That does not make him a better boxer than those 2. I totaly dont care how much money another man makes, all i want to see is a good fight when i turn on the tv to watch boxing.

I also dont care if it makes super sense for conor and floyd. I dont get any money so why should i care? It also makes super sense for a robber to robe a bank and make quick 100.000 $. Same as the bank robbery the may con fight is a robbery. The second time floyd will robb fans, first robbery was obviously may pac.

I paid for a few of his last fights, except Berto, just so I could hopefully see someone kick his arse and shut him up. What a waste of money that was

I suspect Floyd will die rich... It takes a long time to learn the Boxing promotion business and establish yourself, but I suspect he'll move up steadily over the next 30 years with many stumbles and some successes until he gets it... Floyd takes the long road. He doesn't need to get there tomorrow as his Boxing career bore out.. He was a champion for a long time before he started making millions.. Who calls themselves Money as a nickname??? There's nothing people hate so much as somebody who's all about money -- so it was pure genius from a marketing standpoint.

Like I said about Evel Knievel and the "Snake River Canyon Motorcycle Jump" on another thread... It's not the item you're selling -- it's the marketing.

i see it differently, but you articulate
your position well.

i do agree however to an extent on
the manny fight. i had it very close
and thought floyd was spoiling the
fight and apparently got points for
doing so.

People pay to watch Floyd Mayweather Jr. compete again-and-again-and-again… so he can’t be that boring can he, considering he’s almost certainly the single biggest PPV revenue generator in the history of the sport, coupled with the fact that he’ll likely receive a payday exceeding $100m to face a novice boxer that has never competed as a pro before? :-P

Floyd's showing in the Manny fight was abysmal. Spoiled for most of it, and did he even land one significant punch?

All the hollering and pants wetting because he made Manny miss doesn't take away from Floyd's stinking performance that night.

This is a sideshow, nothing more... nothing less. I'm pushing for this fight because why not? I know that 999 out of 1000 Floyd will defeat McGregor in a Boxing match. I also know that these two guys will put on a show with trash talk and preflight hype that would be hilariously entertaining. I also know that Floyd is not going to step inside the ring with anyone else. He's already admitted to as much.

I'l pay my $69.99 and be amused for a night and pray, like I always do in Floyd's fights, that THIS is the time that he gets his clock cleaned. Will i think it will happen? No. But am i going to miss it for anything in the world? Absolutely not. If they load up the card with some other good fights than it will be a success for boxing IMO.

FLoyd is boring beyond belief. All his fraud fights are fixed and he never ever once said anything remotely intelligent or interesting just boring pre scripted one liners. Floyd is interesting only to a bunch of dolts.

Floyd Fraudweather is the WORST thing that ever happened to boxing. A protected fraud WWE hoax with zero class and zero charisma. He only appeals to dolts and dunces who are too stupid to realize a fraud even if it slapped across their face 50 slaps in succession.

100 % this.
