Looks an interesting fighter. I like watching up & comers from areas not used to top class fighters. I enjoyed Scott Dann years back.

Anyway, no idea how far he can go but I like his attitude :D

Anyone have any background info on the lad.

No defence whatsoever but very tough, cant really see him going far unless he at least makes an effort to avoid being punched, fun to watch tho

He reminds me of Cello Renda with a bit more power and a weaker defence. Good to watch but for all his highlight reel KOs, if he don't sort out his defence he is going to have some highlight reel KO losses coming his way

If he's having these sorts of life and death brawls this early in his career then he's clearly going to be limited in how far he'll go.

Exciting, rough & tumble fighter

Might not make it to the top but fair play to him for having a go & making the most of it

Defence ain't the best but some people just love a tear up

Will be in some entertaining scraps whilst it lasts , the KO last night looked a bit worrying the way the other lad went down .

Chin up in the air with zero defence makes for exiting fights one way or another , was good value for the win in the end in a fight that could have gone either way .

Entertaining fights are a good thing for televised boxing. Limitations are one thing, but nothing to be whole heartedly negative about. Would I watch a chain of this guy's fights? Yes. He has a worthy spell of earning ahead.
This is one of the reasons I love boxing, different fighters with different offerings and individual stories for a career to tell.

Was at the Copperbox last night and thought throughout that Pigford looked the more likely to end up horizontal. Shows what I know! Also encapsulates the entertaining unpredictability of big-punching fighters :bag:

Good assessment. The comparison to Renda is spot on :TU:

I liked the kid, rugged and unskilled but he can bang, has balls, likes a scrap and has a decent chin although that will tested further as he progresses as the other kids power is not really known.

I enjoyed that and sat watching thinking how refreshing it was to watch a competitive bout on an undercard. Matchroom needs to take note

Excitement guaranteed from this desperate Dan look a like, good chin and a great punch but he is going to get brutally knocked out when he steps up if he doesn't sort out a defence.
