1.) Thurman is the HIGHEST brain IQ in all of boxing...right along with Ward

2.) Thurman's movement will EASILY evade Spence's attack

3.) Thurman is the hardest puncher out of the two

People are going to be very surprised at how well Thurman neutralizes everything about Spence Jr :OhYes:

Another "expert"?

Buddy:

1 - Thurman is an above average boxer with good power and skills combined, but is a bit far from "the most intelligent ring boxer" (if you wanted to mean that), he might be between top20, there are a lot of smart boxers before assuming that...

2 - Thurman's movements are pretty good and vs Porter and Garcia (but most specially vs Porter as Porter marauds too much) he showed that. Spence punch with more accuracy and cautious than Porter, he thinks before the punch, he is not like a machine gun like Leo Santa Cruz (example)... So he won't miss too many shots.

3 - Thurman hits hard and Spence too, that is a tough issue to discuss, but based in the last fight and on Brook's history of opponents that didn't send him to the canvas (as far as I know) with last 15 of his 36 fights vs welterweights (not counting ggg) I would say that Thurman loses for a very few.

One thing saw yesterday is true. Both opponents had each other toughest opponent they ever faced in their respective weight class, and with presenting boxing from Spence Jr. he won't win Thurman, he would need to improve his footwork in both offensive and defensive, head movements, cardio/lung resistance to be prepared for a 12 round bout with more stamina, a bit more counter punches and punching speed improvement. He deserves the "B-" he gave to himself. :salut:

Thurman has been avoiding Spence for a while.

Maintains the fight needs time to "gel." In other words the longer it percolates, the more money will be involved.

And I suppose Thurman's correct. A lengthy buildup served to make Mayweather and Pacquiao incredibly wealthy in one night.

But I suspect Thurman, who has shown himself to be a top fighter but not a truly great fighter, would prefer to avoid boxing's Next Big Thing.

It really doesn't matter who hits harder. Power is overrated. The better fighter usually wins.

And the better fighter is Spence. Thurman knows it and talks economics to preserve his reputation and unbeaten status.

Before long, he'll flee to the 154 lb. division where he can feast on a mediocre lot and avoid boxing's future P4P king.

Someday, however, Thurman will be forced to square off with Spence, be it at 154 or 160. The sport of boxing will demand it.

And then we'll finally learn the truth. And Thurman will learn that The Truth hurts. Badly.

Thurman going up to 154 won't be able to just easily "feast" on anybody. I think Jermell Charlo, Demetrius Andrade or Erislandy Lara would all have a very strong chance of beating him.

I would have to favor Thurman over Spence. Looks bigger and stronger and I feel he will get Spence out of there.
