I love Tyson - whatever he says (and it comes from all angles if you're gonna politicise) his tongue is often in cheek, and even if not, I love the way he won't be drawn into restricting what he can say by 'political correctness' or what anyone else thinks.

Media and Leftists find it hard to deal with, as he doesn't inhale anyone's propaganda, just speaks what he believes.

On the one hand he wishes Muslims happy EId, and has tweeted himself in Islamic robes, he is against the war in Syria, he is also against racism, is an Irish traveller, shows solidarity for black and minority groups...

But then gets slated because he feels that God doesn't approve of homosexuality, thinks paedophilia is moving towards acceptable, thinks women should have a certain role in life etc etc

I don't defend all his opinions, but I defend his honesty and individuality. And he's been brought up in an insular, catholic, traditional gypsy society.... so it's no surprise that some of his views reflect that.

But the media and especially the left media can't deal with it as he can't be labelled and categorised. It's cognitive dissonance.

Good on Tyson for now kow towing to any specific politics.

Fury's a great character. Never thought I'd end up liking him but his comedy brings light to the fog and gloom that covers contemporary PR soundbyte sport.

An opinion can`t really be shite though can it. You might think it`s shite, but that does`t make it so, that`s the beauty of an opinion.

Political correctness in my opinion (that word again) is a contributing factor to the sorry state of society today. Fury is a an old fashioned guy that has old fashion opinions, so what. I for one would rather that than some ferret faced ponce so scared to insult anyone that he dare not utter a word for fear of the consequences.

In a world where kids are genuinely concerned about the number of likes they receive from fake friends they have never met, I think society has more to worry about than Fury calling some Albino bonced German guy "foreign" or saying he prefers women to be in the kitchen.

Fair enough - although Fury doesn't believe that everybody else has the right to say what they want.

He is very sensitive to criticism considering he is happy to give his own opinion on others.

Of course it can. If it's so poorly thought out, illogical, hypocritical, half-arsed, or just demonstrably wrong, then it's a shite opinion. Everyone has a right to an opinion - not everyone has a right to have their opinions taken seriously.

I haven't got a problem with Fury expressing himself, and I have no time for people who said that he should be stripped of his belts, or those who want to silence anyone who disagrees with them. It does make me laugh when he bleats about somehow being oppressed by the PC Brigade when, for the most part, people are just calling him on his BS.
