Simple question that's been extensively discussed elsewhere, I just want to see a poll on it

I dont think he discraced himself but i think he gave up instead of digging deep, put it this way i wouldnt be bothered about watching him fight on ppv again.

The poll makes no sense. If the options are yes or no you cant have two variables in the question?

Brook was clearly in great pain couldn't see and worried about further eye damage he was also losing the fight. As such you can hardly blame him for not wanting another horrendous op. if he had lost his sight in one eye would that have been good for boxing ?

Good idea. Things have been getting a little heated on the other threads.

Anyone who voted disgrace have never had a fight or just plain don't get boxing

Neither.
You have clearly never boxed, know any boxers, been around any gyms or have an understanding of boxing to have to ask the question. I don't mean to offend you with that, but that's the way it is. By all means be an interested fan, be an armchair critic and feel that you can get answers on a forum if you like.
Anyone who answered 'disgrace' is a moron.

Voted preserve but having watched the fight ending again it just looks so bad
Honestly I wish he just put his gloves to his head took a bodyshot and rolled over.

Threads like this are poor. What if you think he disgraced and preserved himself?

Why?
It was his eye socket broken, not his ribs.

Have any of the "disgrace" voters had their eye sockets broken in a boxing match and gone on to finish the fight?

I think that his "wish" is that Brook faked a ktfo due to body shot.

The two options here leave no room for middle ground.
Brook quit, but he did it for understandable reasons if he his eye is as a bad as it appears. It was not a disgrace, but he still quit and in boxing that carries a lot of stigma, regardless of the reasons he quit. There was doctor at ringside who could have been called at any time from round 7 (when it appears the eye went), there is his corner who also knew what was going on. Any of them could have stopped the fight but they didn`t, Brook stopped it for all intents and purpose (well he left the ref no choice but to stop it)
It was not a disgrace, but like Bellew, (I can`t lie, I`m not built like that, I just can`t man, I`ll fight til there`s nottin left, it`s just me, I scare myself etc etc ) it was very disappointing to see him quit like that.

Yes, that would have been a much more noble way to bow out

Are you talking to me? If you are you couldn't be more wrong, I'm afraid.

The fight was a good fight but the end left me questioning brooks commitment to being a top fighter,he chose to go down and be counted out and he chose to lose his title that way so i say he disgraced himself when we talk about maidana vs ortiz we say was a great fight but then say ortiz quit and i say the same about this fight

I think it's fine to retire through injury. Boxing has come a long way and I think if you have a broken eye socket, it's entirely fair enough to stop fighting.

He didn't disgrace himself, but I think that fight could really fvck up his career.
