I hadn't realised there was that much of a size difference between them. Taylor looked massive compared to Davies there.

Surprised me also, I actually thought Taylor was gonna be the smaller of the two. What height is Taylor? I was confident in him winning this fight before I seen the size difference so thats just made me more confident.

Taylor has got the charisma of a carrot...and he came across as a real twat today.

I've got Davies breaking him down and stopping him.

Makes a difference from Davies coming across a twat 99% of the time.

Just like I said in a previous post this Davies opportunity to show people who thinks he not a decent fighter to show he's a level above brittish level.

Heart wants Taylor. Head says I've bet against Davies too many times.

Even though he's a dick, I think he might be the real deal. Not that Taylor is bad mind you. He's fantastic. Great fight to look forward to.

Taylor completely lost it in my opinion.

Ohara is a class 1 b*llened but he was calm there. As much as I can't stand him he is a really good "heel" :OhYes: it's an act to him.

I can't pick a winner because we don't know how good either fighter is.

O'Hara is not everyone's cup of tea, but he is a dream come true for any promoter. He does what he needs to do to get talked about, earn the money and get the fights he wants. It might all be an act but it would be a very clever and good act.

I've not seen much of Taylor, and I don't really know his personality - but his didn't come across to good either in those videos.

It's definitely going to be a great fight. I'll predict O'Hara stops Josh late.

Little I've seen of Taylor but I am not impressed. Typical GB squad, Luke Campbell style, and very green. I dont know what possessed them to take this fight. I strongly favor Davies to win this by KO.

Taylor also left a terrible impression as a man, of a bully.

Agree with this. No class whatsoever.

When did you bet against Davies? He doesn't strike me as someone who has really proven the odds wrong, at all, and it's not like he's fought at that high of a level.

Is it the Matthews fight that made you think he could be the real deal?

I'm a Taylor fan but he probably is a bit overhyped considering he's only had 9 fights as a pro. If you're unimpressed you must be hard to please though. I've seen all his fights and he's looked pretty impressive to me barring a few minor mistakes.

Davies has been trying to wind him up since before this fight was announced and he's succeeded by the looks of it. A fired up and emotional Taylor will play in to Davies hands so I hope he cools it before fight time.

What makes you so confident in Davies though? That stoppage of KO'd 9 times, blown up, retired after the fight Matthews? The Scarpa borefest?

This seems like a very well-matched fight to me.

Exactly what I think

I'll give him credit if he wins but it's difficult to call because we don't know how good either is.

Davies is hard hitting, tenacious fighter. Seems strong both physically and mentally. I think that Taylor with his amateurish style and luck of ring savvy wont be able to withstand Davies attacks. This is my first thought anyway. Maybe it will change in time, but usually they dont.

Did he look tenacious or particularly hard-hitting against Scarpa?

Matthews was coming up a division, and was so shopworn and vulnerable that I have trouble rating Davies highly on that performance. Aside from Scarpa and Matthews, it's been area level opposition and worse. Taylor's opposition hasn't been great either, and I think each will be their toughest opponent by quite a margin...

Scottish fighters generally have this tendency (apart from Burns...)

Taylor is too upright, too little head movement and susbsequently too easy to hit. Davies hits hard and is slicker so I'd edge towards him. Especially as he's got more pro experience. Hope I'm wrong.

It's on YouTube and as you suggest was absolutely DIRE

People saying Davies will smash Taylor is complete lunacy.

Just as saying the other way round.

It seems that lot of people overrate Taylor because he caries a label of Olympians and under rate Davies because he made his name largely by trash talking. But if you look past the hype and at their actual performances it should obvious that Davies is on another level.
