Mayweather: Golovkin won't got the distance with Canelo

Floyd Mayweather has spoken from his own experience about the chances of a Canelo Alvarez upset against Gennady Golovkin.
Mayweather, who defeated Alvarez in his greener days of 2013 - a loss that remains the only blot on the The Mexican's record, has backed his old foe to not only beat Golovkin, but stop him inside schedule.
"Do I think 'GGG' can beat Canelo? Absolutely not," said Mayweather. "I think there’s a few guys that can beat Triple G, and Canelo is on the top of the list, I believe that he’ll beat him."
On Golovkin's ring skills, Mayweather added: "He’s got good punching power, but he’s flat-footed.
"He makes a lot of mistakes, but boxing is different now. I don’t think it’ll go the distance."
The claims of the 'Money' man come as some surprise due to the fact that Golovkin has never lost in 37 contests and has shown a steel chin against the likes of Kell Brook, Danny Jacobs and David Lemieux.
It could be a case of sour grapes for Mayweather as fans have accused the former pound for pound king of ducking the hard-hitting Kazakh when he announced his retirement in 2015.
Golovkin, along with trainer Abel Sanchez, had long told WBN they were willing to meet Mayweather at 154 pounds, an offer which fell on deaf ears until the now 40 year-old bowed out of the sport by beating Andre Berto.

Mayweather needs to talk about Canelo and Golovkin to get attention. Besides, Golovkin stopping a full size prime Canelo will not reflect well on Mayweather's win over dehydrated inexperienced Canelo.

Fraudweather is jealous about the greatness of Golovkin and all the glory he deservedly gets. This is Floyd trying to discredit and degrade a great fighter. Typical behavior from a first class insecure bitch that we all know as mayweather.

43 fight pro considered inexperienced? Yeah, okay.

If it's that easy and if he was that confident, Floyd would be fighting him and not Canelo

Why? Canelo is bigger than Mayweather. He was asked how he thought a fight between those two would go, not how a fight with him and GGG would go.

If FMJ did not get an inexperienced at world level, drained GingerHead then the Head may be decapitated from the Ginger in this one.

3G's jab makes FMJ's look like a slap, and what comes behind it makes FMJ's straight right blush.

Inexperienced at world level, yeah maybe compared to Mayweather but he was a world champion in his own right with a few defences. Inexperienced my arse. Nonsense.

So is Mcgregor.

What does that even mean in relation to Mayweather fighting GGG?

Somehow, GGG at 155 is too big for him but McGregor who currently fights at 155 and has fought at 170 is just right.

Seven world title fights he had before Mayweather. The lad was a veteran compared to some. He can in no way be considered inexperienced when he fought Mayweather. Hatton had 43 fights and five proper world title fights so was less experienced than Canelo. Would anyone say he was inexperienced when he fought Mayweather?

GingerHead was a perfectly ripened cherry at 152. Anyone who does not see that is ignoring it for obvious reasons.
3G is fighting the prime in every way version of GingerHead. FMJ did not, and just to be safe he drained him, kind of like weakening the bull before the bullfighter even ventures into the arena.

Stop moving the goal posts. You said he was inexperienced, he obviously wasn't. I never mentioned his weight once.

Learn to comprehend what you are reading. I did not say GingerHead was inexperienced.
You are dancing dangerously close to

Translation for the FMJ apologist on the thread; 3G is going to beatdown a prime, full fledged GingerHead; FMJ defeated a weight drained, pre-prime GingerHead, relatively experienced or not.
If anyone is embarrassing themselves it is you with your defend FMJ at all costs attitude

I'm not defending Mayweather. I don't give two fucks about Floyd Mayweather. I just don't agree with that the characterisation of Canelo as being inexperienced or inexperienced at world level. GGG very well might beat him, that's neither here nor there.
Night, love. X

Before Mayweather, Canelo only fought a few has-beens and Trout. The rest were build-up fights. He is significantly more experienced now.

Take it up with those who claim GingerHead was inexperienced, and try mastering the comprehension of the word "if."

What does 'If FMJ did not get an inexperienced at world level, drained GingerHead...' mean then? Are you not saying Floyd Mayweather fought a inexperienced at world level Canelo? If that's not what that means fine, I'll apologise to you, but please do explain because I can't see any other way to read that.

In my opinion Canelo is prime now, but I don't think he was against Floyd; not the right amount of big fight experience, and not at the optimal weight.
From every Mayweather comment I've read about the fight, he seems to be hoping that GGG doesn't win. In fact, in general there's clearly something bothering him about Golovkin.... he's one of those who so badly want to see GGG lose that they'd give an arm for it.
