This Friday on allegedly Skeete defends his British Welterweight title against Singleton, anyone giving Singleton much of a chance?

The form book suggests this is a routine win for Bradley seeing as Eggington KO'd Singleton and Skeete easily outboxed Sam but you never know, Singleton is a tough honest fighter, his fight with Anwar was a great scrap and he came out on top in that one, Skeete's an improved fighter though and digging a lot harder these days, he easily outboxed Thain in his last fight despite having an injured thumb going in

Skeete's a level above Singleton for my money though and I fancy him to stop him late on

Skeete to win handily.

I saw Singleton against some Lithuanian a few months back who dropped Singleton and was robbed of a decision (given a draw).

Trust me. Skeete can hit. Can hit you from miles away. Singy's power was literally non existent Skeete is better in every aspect. Not even close.

Easy for Skeete. Routine win. Not a great card all round but it's something to watch on a Fri night at least. The Markham fight might be alright.

It's not quite as simple as saying 'Eggington beat Singleton and Skeete beat Eggington' as Eggington knocked out Frankie Gavin who beat Skeete...
HOWEVER, I do expect Skeete to beat Singleton, probably on points. Bigger, stronger and incredible reach.

Skeete should win by a very wide margin.

What is the long term plan for Skeete though? He looked good vs Eggington bit since then seems to have slowed to a crawl.

Whilst Egginton has bounced back with three decent wins and a European title. Skeete is still fighting guys at domestic level, seems a little odd to me.

Bang on. As much as Hearn gets stick and he gets plenty from me. He has done excellent in rebuilding Eggington with three very solid wins.

This and one more @ domestic level, and he'll be ready to win the European and see how far beyond that he go..

He can't box for the European title as he held the wbo European title. I've been told for 2 years. A ruling done by the organisation. Wen he wins British outright they will either go for a final eliminator or another international title.

I think Skeete's power has been improving of late and I doubt he'll get much if any more man strength. I like the fact that he wants the Lonsdale outright but he's treading water just now, he's fought Leppeley when he could've made a defence of the British, if he injures himself again surely he'll need to vacate and come right back into an eliminator or go in against a former titlist to get his name out there

Skeete wins in 5, that's the the 1st time I can rememeber a referee being too late and too early in the same stoppage, he should've jumped in a second earlier and by the time he did Singleton was firing back and probably should've been allowed to continue after riding that particular storm

Great start from Singleton he got to work straight away and landed a solid right hand in the opening round and right up until Skeete decked him with that right hand in the 3rd it was all him, Skeete took a bit to get going and was shipping some shots but once he got the knockdown he showed good finishing instincts, fair play to Singleton though he still went for it even after being down and hurt, great finiishing from Skeete though and another KO win

how does Skeete fare with Eggington, Gavin and Khan today?

I'd favour Skeete to beat Egg again. In my opinion Egg's post-Skeete surge has been more about getting the right opportunities than improving.

Gavin seems to have moved backward, and I think Skeete has gotten better. Their fight was very close, so I'd expect things to have shifted enough for Skeete to win.

I actually think he beats all 3. Obviously he's already beaten Eggington, and Gavin looks well on the decline. Khan is clearly on another level to those two, but I honestly reckon Skeete could time and counter him like Garcia did.

I used to dread watching Skeete a few years ago, thought he was awful to watch. He's improved loads and is now usually in entertaining fights, he's definitely won me round.

I'm seriously thinking that Skeete vs Khan is for the best welterweight in the UK.

I think Skeete would TKO Khan as well. How things turn around.
