It took a superhuman effort for Jacobs to finish that fight.

The winner of the WBO title bout between Billy Joe Saunders and Avtandil Khurtsidze will likely want to face the fighter that emerges victorious from September's super-fight between Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez.

In regards to Daniel Jacobs' ranking by the WBO, there are five challengers rated above him.

Daniel Jacobs currently resides in the "who needs you club", because no fighter would be motivated in taking such a huge risk with their careers' by facing him, since he doesn't possess a world title and nor does a fight against him provide any significant financial incentives.

Don't forget that he is Haymon fighter, meaning that he fights Once Upon A Time.

The best thing for someone like Jacobs to do is call out the Lemieux's and Saunders' of the world, and rather than wait around for one of them to accept he needs to do what Lemieux has done of late and just fight whoever. It's always better to be active even against sub-par opposition than it is to just keep sitting around waiting for something to happen.

:shame: Once Upon A Time is out of commission for too long, and two weight classes too low for Jacobs.

So heres the low down on Daniel Jacobs... i have the inside scoop. You have Avtandil Khurtsidze and he will be fighting Billy Joe saunders for the WBO World middleweight title July 8th in London. Daniel Jacobs most likely will be fighting the winner of this fight for the title around novemberish.

Only if Haymon makes an attractive offer to the winner. WBO belt is the ticket for Jacobs to get a rematch with G.

NOT TRUE, if AK wins he will DEFINITELY fight Jacobs for the belt!! 100% regardless of Al Haymon. Dj and ak have the same manager. If bjs wins then it gets a lil more complicated.

I am pretty sure that Golovkin/Canelo winner will make much more attractive offer to BJS/Khurt winner than Haymon.

He does have a decent fan base.
Making GGG go the distance and staying conscious gained him respect. I can see him getting back in track.

Don't make a mistake. All top Haymon fighters fight Once Upon A Time, not just Thurman.

I thought Jacobs fought a very good fight against GGG, perhaps he needs a rest but his name is in good standing after that performance.

yes and no.. yes ur right if bjs wins, but your incorrect if khurt wins. again dj and khurt share the same manager and he will without question habe his two fighter fight each other for the title because he (their mutual managaer who is a good friend of mine) already told me that if khurt wins he is having dj fight him so he will not only get his #1 fighter a world title, but my friend will have a very very nice payday when they do fight. trust me i talked to him about it today at lunch.

I guess I will have to cheer for a scumbag like BJS then.
