6 months into the year and overall its been a fantastic year of boxing the HW division is personally my favourite (closely followed by the middleweights), wanted to know what you all think will happen in terms of matchups do you care about titles or just want good matchups ?

I just wish all the heavyweights would get on with it sooner an undisputed champ the better. Aj is doing ok. Wilder needs to get a move on could see dillan beating him or aj too. Parker will lose his title would like him to fight Lucas brown I know he has to regain his ranking .. .. Wasn't a fury fan tbh but he is so awkward to fight and can switch hit -people dont.appreciate that - I see him coming back and clearing house. Would like to.see Dave Allen double his efforts and win the British title - respect to him as a fighter who hasn't ducked anyone and been fighting regularly. Is Richard towers fighting still ?

Domestic wise, we've got some decent up and comers, Sandland, Webb, Gorman and a couple others. Could be interesting.

Too slow.

Joshua to fight Wlad again then hopefully clear the mandatory situation with Pulev and Ortiz.

I can see the unification picture be a frustrating one with Wilder and Parker avoiding Joshua and possibly each other.

Wilder to continue along the path of least resistance.

Parker eventually diddled out of a bad decision in New York against Jarell Miller, who will protect that title like Wilder as the 2 Americans call each other out relentlessly.

Haye and Bellew to fight each other again, hopefully injury free, then hopefully both retire.

Fury to return in a tune up in 2018 and look over-weight and under-whelming. Eventually score a big fight with Joshua or Wilder, herky-jerk defence his way to 2 time world champion, go on a propper coke and booze bender then retire with a heed full of nonsense, comeback schduled for 2022.

Fres Oquendo to never ever get that title shot and carry on the legal battle until the day he's being assisted to the toilet by nurse Hatchet with Shannon the cannon sitting in his favourite chair in the TV lounge screaming "let's go champ" as Angela Lansbury comes on every day at 2 o'clock

Joshua will fight either Wlad or Pulev
Wilder will fight stiverne
Parker will fight Bellew

Fury won't get his License back til next year.

Whyte and Chisora will rematch.

Hughie Fury and team will talk about a Parker fight.
Joyce will sign with FW.
Dubois will have a few more knock over jobs.

Povetkin will re-emerge and get a name over in Russia. MONEY TALKS.

Suspect that Wilder will still be with us - just fighting someone and somewhere - quietly ticking-over and ensuring his belt pays the bills.
Might be all wrong and he signs to fight AJ next week....but I think Deontay's model is all about win often and win easy.

Hopefully Wilder will fight somebody in the Top 10 at the very least soon.

Parker will fight either Wilder, AJ or some other solid contender like a Luis Ortiz whatever.

Joshua vs Wlad 2 is another big fight, and I look forward to seeing how the landscape looks for the very top of the division after that one.

I would like Tyson Fury to get back into the mix just so somebody can kick his ass, and take whatever lineal status he still has away from him in the eyes of the fans and the division can move forward

That's a pretty good summary. Only marginal counterpoints:

1. Not convinced Parker will fight Bellew. Be delighted to be wrong, as it's a great cash out fight for the latter.

2. Fury's licence may take a while.

Usyk could be a huge force in the future. He has the footwork to trouble any heavyweight and looks like he can easily bulk up.
He boxed rings around Joyce in the amateurs.
If he enters the Schaeffer tournament at CW it puts his HW career back a couple of years, but if he wins it he'd become a huge star before his move up.

Also the great young USA hope will probably be a Frenchman.
Tony Yoka has the size and punch to put him into the upper echelons of the HW division.
He has the gold medal, looks, backstory to make him a star. Expect him to be based in the States early.
In 4 years time Joshua, Usyk and Yoka could be the top 3.

I am really impressed with Yoka i'll be following his career closely theres something about that lad if he is managed properly by Schaefer could be a potential champ.

I'm not convinced about Usyk's power transferring to HW his feet are fantastic

The Hunter fight was a mixture of Hunter being better than expected and Usyk under-performing.
I think he could go down as one of the best Cruiserweights in history.
If he enters this Schaeffer tournament it could bring him to the masses.
His power won't be huge at HW but he has the footwork to bewilder some of the more flat footed giant heavyweights.

Looking forward to the tournament, should be some pretty good matchups. What happened to that big southpaw, can't think of his name and I think he was Cuban, who was champ a few years ago. I think he boxed mainly in Germany ?

Yoan Pablo Hernandez. He was a cracking fighter but very injury prone. Started fighting less and less. Retired. There was a Russian aswell called Drozd who was very good but again injurys took there toll.
