This should be a pretty good fight IMO. I completely disregard Adonis beating Fonfara's corpse. Adonis has beaten no one if you really think about it. Who the hell has he fought?

Fonfara twice
Karpency
Thomas Williams
Sukhovtsky
Bika
Don George
Cloud
Dawson's shell

He's fought second rate guy after second rate guy. Had he fought Dawson or Cloud years earlier those fights would mean more. Bellew is his best win and I don't rate him at all. The Haye fight was a massive fluke because of injury while he was losing badly before it.

Alvarez is the best opponent of his career sadly. He can take a punch, has a really good jab and is in his prime. Adonis is obviously not gonna fight Ward, Kovalev, Beterbiev so Alvarez is the best we are gonna get. I favor Adonis but I think this is a good scrap. Maybe he fights Gvodzyk but probably ducks his ass too.

Definitely a legit fight. After that first round last night I have to favor Stevenson. Alvarez has the skills to take it though.

I agree.Alvarez has an excellent jab, decent footwork, can get out of range and his timing is very good.Hes boxed 4 or 5 solid southpaws over the last 3 years so he used to dealing with them.

i like him,i think he might be the dark horse in this division.

I also think Alvarez has a good chance to defeat Chickenson. He isn't going to just stand there in front of Aduckis and let him tee off on him.

Alvarez does fight in straight lines too much which will get you clipped eventually against someone like Stevenson.

Alvarez doesn't seem to have an ability to adjust. He fights the same way and in the same gear all the time. Could still be a problem for Stevenson if Alvarez manages to avoid that straight left.

At least he shouldn't be stepping right into it like Fonfara did
Alvarez is a bit one dimensional but that will probably be enough to give His Chickeness a problem. He also has a new trainer, so possibly that could add to his repertoire.
