I have a large bundle of newspapers from 1955-1994 and was hoping someone could advise me of the best way to sell them and roughly how much they are worth. They was my late Dad's so not really my area of expertise.
Any help would be appreciated

They will be hard to sell I'm afraid to say mate.

You should be asking for £35 for a complete year.

It is a great collection, but where would you keep em all ? Thats the trouble.

Roughly how many copies does that amount to?

I take it you mean copies of the Boxing News.
Check ebay to gauge what you'd get.
Not many people now are interested in buying old copies either individually or annually but one of the previous people suggested £35 for the complete year. But you'd have to be lucky and hope there is someone looking for something in particular . I used to deal with a company called Lion Street Books in Haye on Wye. He had thousands and that was the price he was selling a complete year. He's closed up shop and I suspect he probably threw hundreds away.
Don't panic, advertise on eBay or take them to a sports auction company. You might get lucky.

I had over 20 years from mid 70s to mid 90's not a missing one there. I ended up throwing them in the skip when we moved 17 years ago as I put them on Ebay but no one wanted them. Its not as if they are rare really, however saying that if people keep throwing them away they will become rare.

I had a great idea but it was too late. Sell them as Birthday presents. If they are in great condition frame one up and sell it on Ebay as a dated present.
Im guessing a frame would cost a 5iver so pop one on and see if it goes. Or take out the most remembered ones such as Bruno v Tyson frame it and advertise it for £20.

I had all Boxing year books from the 80s to 90s and again no one wanted them. Its all just attic fillers really.

If you've got complete years for any year in the 50s or early 60s, they may sell on EBay. Worth a try, anyway. But I agree with the earlier poster that later years are more difficult to shift.
