Brothers fighting

Earlier this week Japanese TV aired a repeat showing of Eguchi vs Eguchi (http://boxrec.com/bout/525285) and I'm just treating myself to watching it now...
I assumed that it would have been a tame affair with one guy simply beating his brother in a light spar type of thing...but fornicate me I was wrong, they went out their to beat the shit out of each other! Vicious leather from both guys. Only in round 3 but...wow

So the question, does the thought of brothers fighting seem a bit sick or are there other cases of brothers fighting?

Obviously, this puts one in mind of the K brothers.

If memory serves, they vowed never to fight for the official reason that their mother had asked them not to and they obviously wanted to honor that. But, I seem to recall that one of them said in an interview that another part of the reason that they didn't want to do it is that they KNEW that it would absolutely get very intense and that it wouldn't take much for them to go at it with everything they had. I remember that my first thought was along the same lines as you, so this was pretty interesting to hear.

The winner defended the Jap belt afew times. Way more important than fighting your bro as a grown man. Although they were minimum weights so doubt anyone got hurt :bag:

I've seen MANY brothers in this game... the Klitschko brothers... Travis and Tarvis Sims... Dirrell brothers... Spinks brothers... Ali brothers... Patterson brothers... Gibbons brothers... Fullmer brothers... Cotto brothers... Jeffries brothers... Baer brothers

But none of them fought each other EVER!!! WHY??? ... I always knew it would happen at some point -- because why not??? ... It's money.

I think we can all agree that Eguchi takes this one.

Don't most people die or get injured badly in lower weights?

Didn't Marty and Eric Jakubowski fight each other (although not too intense)?

"T.M.K"

A lot have. You have to really love the game to be a lower weight boxer, the brilliant thing about those low weight divisions is it gives a chance to everyone to be a champ, those little dudes that aren't big enough to compete in popular team sports have a chance to shine in a cool sport and be part of something

They're only half brothers, and are at different career stages and slightly different weights, so a fight is unlikely...

But I reckon Conor Benn and Eubank jrs half brothers would definitely not shy away from fighting them
