Let's talk about the LH situation

My favourite division. In no division in boxing are so many great punchers than in lh! But it seems complicated to make the big fights.
My question. Who pomotes gvozdyk and bertebiev? Is it haymon? How realistic is it that kovalev faces them should he win against ward? Chickenson said he wants kovalev/ward winner, is it chicken talk or will the fight happen fir real?
What is your take how everything gonne end up?

Chickenson is at an age he should retire anyway.. So he may do the winner -- and it's a 50/50 shot on who that's going to be.

Beterbiev is with Haymon/Canadian crowd. Gvozdyk is managed by Egis Klimas/Ukrainian crowd and promoted by Top Rank.
Technically Beterbiev challenging Chikenson should not be a problem. But Haymon seemed more interested to have him go against Kova. I dont know why is he stagnating right now.
One thing is clear that Haymon wont let off WBC stranglehold easily. Stevenson will fight Alvarez. Then maybe Beterbiev in the distant future.
Gvozdyk will need to force mandatory title fight for WBC. Ulternatively he maybe able to persuade Kova/Ward winner to fight.
Then there is a question of Smith (GBP)/Barrera (Duva) winner. Also Bivol is fast at the heels, who is promoted by Ryabinsky in Russia and I think associated with Duva in USA.
Then there are Marcus Brown and Umar Salamov. Plus Buatsi turning pro few days ago with Eddie Hearn.
By far the best division but one big mess at the moment.

I guess most promoters will work with each when the fight is big enough. One exception is Haymon, who is happy milking belts by making strictly noncompetitive or in house defenses. Hence the problem, how to get WBC contested.

Honestly, I have ripped haymon for years but the dude is making some pretty good fights these days. Who knows if that will continue with Stevenson who for whatever reason has gotten the ultimate pass, but at this point I don't think we can rule out the possibility of haymon putting him in with alvarez or beterbiev.

Artur Beterbiev is currently advised by Al Haymon, but is attempting to sever his ties with GYM.
Assuming Artur Beterbiev remains with Haymon and signs with one of the other promoters he works with, then Kathy Duva is unlikely to allow the Canadian-based Russian to share the ring with Sergey Kovalev, because she won’t risk Krusher breaking his exclusive contract with HBO, should the bout proceed to purse bids.
We’ve already witnessed Kovalev “ducking” Adonis Stevenson for precisely this reason.
The boss of GYM, Yvon Michel, had previously attempted to avoid matching Beterbiev with Adonis Stevenson, because he wanted his promotional company to own all the belts before orchestrating a big money title unification fight between the Canadian-based pair.
However, now that Artur is seeking to break away from GYM, we may finally get the opportunity to see Adonis defend his title against Beterbiev (assuming that Haymon provides his approval).
The problem, which many Kovalev fans are in complete denial of, relates to Sergey’s exclusive contract with HBO, because he is likely to prefer to “duck” his rivals if he cannot get his own way by having fights televised solely by HBO. Kathy Duva has repeatedly confirmed this!
So even if GYM is able to provide Kovalev with a bigger payday to face Adonis Stevenson on Showtime, Sergey will still refuse that fight due to his contractual obligations with HBO.
If Beterbiev defeats Koelling and Kovalev dethrones Ward, then we could see a situation whereby Sergey “ducks” Artur, under precisely the same set of circumstances that Krusher “ducked” Adonis Stevenson.
Sergey Kovalev “ducked” Adonis Stevenson, but somehow the WBC champ takes all the blame... and that's because ignorant fans prefer the "Chickenson" narrative, since it's far more interesting than reality, whilst also avoiding portraying Krusher in a negative light.

Kovalev ducked Stevenson - FACT!
Click on the blue hyperlink to watch a video of Kathy Duva admitting that Kovalev "ducked" Adonis Stevenson, because they couldn't risk losing the WBC's purse bid to GYM, due to their exclusive contract with HBO:
"Kathy Duva Response to Kovalev Purse Bid Withdraw/Ducking, Al Haymon Lawsuits"
Kathy Duva carefully uses the phrases “shift in the landscape” and "living in a different world" whilst conveniently refraining from admitting that Kovalev’s contract with HBO had expired at the time she lobbied the WBC to instate Sergey as Stevenson’s mandatory challenger.
So after Krusher signed with HBO again, he was then unable to take the Stevenson fight, which means that Kovalev preferred to renew his contract with HBO rather than accept a guaranteed title shot at Adonis’ WBC world title.
If the WBC champ has the “Chickenson” nickname, does that mean that Krusher should be referred to as “Duckalev”?

As I said Stevenson vs Alvarez is the next fight and Beterbiev is also possible. These are in house fights between Haymon fighters.

Chickenson will retire ducking Ward, Kov and raising top prospects... Let's pay more attention to the top prospects like Beterbiev, Bivol, Gvozdyk, Salamov and bit far Egor Mekhontsev.

Exactly. I think bert or gvoz are better than adonis anyway. Thats why i am more interested in these mixing it up with kova than chickenson. His time is over. He had his prime and him and al decided not to go for kova.

Gvozdyk looked great last time out. I'm sure Stevenson wouldn't fight him either. The oddest part is the kovalev duck gained nothing for him.

Look at the 2nd rate bums Chickenson has fought since he won the title from the badly slipping Dawson.. He jumped ship from HBO to duck Kovalev and never entered the ring with a real good boxer-puncher in his life.. If he goes for a Kovalev fight it'll be to cash out.. He'll get knocked stiff.

Would love Irish bomber Smith to keep upsetting the cart. Would be great to see a real man(as in not life long elite athlete) fulfill the dream of every lad who's laced up. I don't like soppy shit but this is rocky shit baby.
