Hi am putting together an article for Uni in which a man and a woman are challenged to learn the most possible about sports which are traditionally female or male. As boxing is pretty most the most masculine sport out there this is what I have to learn about. I got this site off a mate (male) and am hoping that someone will see this and point me in the right direction of learning about the different weights etc, which boxers are the best, which are up and coming etc. Any comments would be appreciated! (My writing partner has been challenged to learn the rules of netball and jazzersize! He reckons I got off light with boxing!)
thanks for your time.

Torr.

Yeah, there are plenty here will help, but your questions are too broad. You need to figure out what it is you want to know. I can put you in touch with someone who is involved in womens boxing if you are interested?

Hi there

Having scanned this website there is too much information to take in at one go! I need to know things like who is on top of their game in Britain, who are the best in all weights and who is up and coming ie the most promising. Basic punches would be useful, I know there is a right hook so I asume there is a left one too? As you can see my knowledge is pretty slim. Who the best trainers are along with boxers of teh past. I know of Muhammed Ali and Chris Eubank but that is pretty much it.
Any awswers would be appreciated! thanks

Ho, ho, ho.

On the subject of Mr Powell, did anyone manage to read his article on Paula Radcliffe in yesterdays Mail. Harsh in the extreme. The guy has no idea of what it's like to run that sort of distance, especially in those conditions. His inferance that she should run 'till she drops was scandalous.

He'd probably drop after running up the stairs.

My brother used to work with Jeff Powell at the Express. Says he's a right arsehole.
He says their football correspondent, Rob Shep, who came across as another arsehole on the 'Do I not like That' documentary, is actually a diamond.

Two points...

the first has been said already... narrow your questions down and then come back

secondly if your mate gave you the details of this site, isnt it safe to presume he's a boxing fan you could ask for help?

The unofficial rankings on britishboxing.net will give you a few pointers for the best in britain at their weights.

Punches include jab, hook, straight, uppercut. You could get definitions if you searched on the internet.

:TU: :TU: They'll be updated at the start of the month, although I can only think of one major change.

Just go in and say

'Audley Harrison is the best Heavyweight boxer'

and the experts will know you must have perfect boxing knowledge.

Also dont listen to a word Kilburn says on the Audley subject.
