Evening lads, don't want to get political and start a debate but do you think tomorrows result will impact sports more specifically amatuer boxing and the GB system ?

you could argue that if things get worse for the poor we will produce more tough young deprived boxers. I am of the opinion that this has already been happening and is one reason why British boxing is booming.

In the unlikely event that Corbyn wins, a year or two down the line we'll be going cap in hand to the IMF just to keep the electric on and funding for GB boxing will dry up quicker than Diane Abbott's answers when interviewed by anyone more intelligent than a potato.

Pretty much anyone boxing in Britain now grew up under a labour government so that doesn't wash.

Bigger issue from the election is freedom of movement. If that goes when the UK leaves the EU (which will depend on the terms of Brexit, but which the EU so far has said strongly that we cannot keep), it should make it far harder for journeyman from, say, the Baltic states to come over and fight here as regularly as some of them are. Which may in turn mean fewer imports at 4-round and 6-round level.
