Nah I don't think so.
They would have to introduce a national championship for every country they operate in.

The WBF(oundation) has a UK title which is apparently contested over eight rounds; I have no idea if anyone has ever fought for it, mind...

If they did it would be on a BIBA show.

I'm lost with it all. Ormond v quigley is for the vacant ibf east/west Europe super featherweight title. Sure someone can explain what east/west European title is?

It's a bullshit title that gives the champion a top 15 world ranking with the ibf. Not sure on the requirements of the fighters. But Ormond is fighting Evans and Quigley is against jonjo Carroll.

I wouldn't be all that shocked if it did happen. We've already seen the WBO European title come in to play when Conrad Cummings won it recently.

Personally, I think it is to do with this fascination over belts... Over the past decade we've seen the Intercontinental belts & International belts being used as a way of getting highly ranked with a certain boxing body.

If it were me, keep the 4 World boxing bodies and their World Championships away from the regional, national and multinational levels - just keep with the high end of World Class.

These titles mean nothing. I don't mind regional titles, but once you have title orgs having 14 different British Champions it just waters it all down. Whoever has the Lonsdale belt is the British Champion, any other so called "British Champion" is horsesh*t.
